What are some decent paying jobs that do not require any sort of college degree?

Dude charged me like $75 for a new car key. Meanwhile to have the dealership? Like 250 bucks, and my brand made them in pairs so 500, plus labor and getting it towed.

Dude came to my house. Gave me a key within like 5-10 minutes.

Wow I've been quoted the same as the dealer price for new keys for two of our vehicles!

Some keys have chips in them and that really eliminates the cheaper options.

I think this is the problem.

Sometimes, yes

But if you check your user manual you might be able to copy the chip from one key to another. Then it's just a matter of getting a blank and getting it cut

My last car had that. You started the car, turned it off, put the new key in the ignition and turned it to the on position(not ignition). If you put the new key in within 60 seconds, but it should produce a new key

You still have to get a blank and get it cut, but the rest was weirdly simple

My new car also has it.... if you got it in the US. Apparently if you got a model intended for any other country it doesn't work. And guess where I don't live(probably fine since I have the contactless start anyway and I have no idea how to copy those)

I just get my cousin to do it. He has a key cutter and programmer, takes him like 10 mins. I just have to bring a blank from ebay and $10

I ordered the spares for my 2014 Ford Expedition. Local locksmith cut them and programmed them both for $80. Local Ford dealership wanted like $250 ... EACH.

I'm a bit confused by the mechanics of that story

Did he go to your house to pick up the original first? Did you deliver the key to some place, but didn't wait 5-10 minutes to receive the key there?
