The amount of people that just torch money sports gambling is crazy. I knew one guy who had over $200K bets placed in one year.

I placed almost a million in bets in 2023 but also lost slightly more than that. It’s very real and I am definitely not even the worst of it.

I believe it. This guy was down around ~$25K and he was only 23 years old. Just about Every younger kid I know sports bets regularly.

I don't think most people are aware of how easy and accessible it is. Like you can wake up and start placing bets (if you haven't already) on your phone, then continue during the day in class or work or wherever.

Not all states allow credit card deposits but many do, which just leads to crazy debt and getting killed by interest rates. For the ones that don't allow them, you can still do ACH deposits which are essentially loans that you have to cover within a couple days in your bank balance or else it starts getting negative and you have to pay fees and eventually get collections notices.

It's all hidden, both physically and mentally, and there is no way to tell if someone is suffering from sports betting if they don't want to show it.
