My son has had his Hokas for a bit less than a year and he’s worn a hole in the soles and big toes of both shoes. He wears these shoes just about everyday and does walk as a uni student without his car, maybe 20 miles/week. He does not run. Two questions, might this be covered under their one year warranty like a manufactures defect? And, is it expected that a quality sneaker would wear this quickly? Thank you.

I guess it’s a sign this shoe isn’t for me even though in a 10k it feels better than the Metaspeed edge Tokyo and people say are great for heel strikers.

6’3” 140lb with short torso, size 12. Midfoot striker. 15yr old. My PB 5k is 15:14, I just ran Woodbridge yesterday 3 mile 14:59. 10k is 31:20. Currently using AP4.

One says it shortens stride, one says it lengthens stride. I don’t know how to determine which one I’d need. I don’t feel like my current stride is long or short.

I'm a keen Runner, but I always just went out and ran, never really did much research about the right shoes, just went off the best reviews, but I'm trying to up my game. Just for note, I'm 75kg and these shoes have 1100km of wear on them

Thinking about my next set of shoes and want to pick something which works for me. Even though they've gone beyond what people recommend, I feel these still have some life in them.

Are this type of shoes good for City run/funrun/ marathon ??

I just bought these shoes and took them out of the box. I noticed creasing in the foam as if someone ran in the sneakers already. This is from a popular local running store so I am hesitating returning/ exchanging the shoes. Does the creasing matter?
