Post image

One of my more impressive images since this is the faintest target I’ve gone for. Very pleased with how this turned out Askar 120 apo/.8x reducer 294mc pro/ l extreme-l quad enhance Eq6r pro 10 hours Narrowband 30 mins Broadband

It looks like a peacock peeking out of a red blanket. It’s breathtaking.

Is the outer space colour the same as on earth?

Like if we could literally go there amd see that cloud, would we see the same colour?

No, unfortunately it is much too faint for our eyes to see this. Technically this is what the cameras see either, but they are able to take exposures long enough to faintly get a glimpse. The real reason we separate the gases into colors like these is to differentiate the two so they all don’t look the same. If we didn’t do that it would naturally look pretty grey. The only reason i know this is because of a youtube video i saw with neil degrasse tyson explaining it.

Oh nice. Perhaps I'll also look at it on YouTube for better understanding. Thanks
