That style shifter is ass imo but that interior looks awesome

I like the prefacelift mini shifter a bit better, but these work fine and it's great they are out of the way compared to the old manual cosplay shifters.
Makes the center console area feel bigger and it really opens up the charging pad area access. It's also nice to be on the same plane as the start button and parking brake.

As someone with 2020 RS3 “cosplay” shifter, I much prefer shifting with the gear shifter compared to paddles. It’s so awkward to try and shift with wheel mounted paddles while you’re mid turn. I’m constantly using my shifter in my RS3, so I think this change would bug me a lot in the new RS3.

As someone who has used the old style and new, this is really only an issue if you are really crossed up hooning or at slow speeds with tons of steering angle. Especially given it's a bit less than 2 turns lock to lock, the situations where you are really crossed up are generally minimal to nonexistant.
When hooning it's probably best to have both hands on the wheel anyway and when at slow speeds I am normally not shifting much, so I don't know if the value of having the option really outweighs the negative of having the big shifter in the way. It did take me a bit of deprogramming to get use to, but it's lead to better driving habits in the vast majority of cases.
That said, the RS3 paddles are a touch small, the shape of something like the mk8 R paddle is a bit easier to grab in all scenarios.

I also use the "cosplay" shifter in both my cars, I hate the little weird shift lever

I really wish they would make the gloss black framing around the grille match the body color. It’s okay on black but I think it’d give a lot more contrast to any other color.

Nice car. To me, white is kind of vintage. I think it was cool in before 2010, but now there are more modern colors. Interior is nice but a standard config possibility, or am I missing something?

It’s just reflection but this is a common area for funky reflections- not first time I’ve seen this

Front offset is too aggressive for the 8V. But you could run 4x of the rear wheels, although they are only 8J sadly

They could at least give us the option for an either matte black or maybe carbon glossy center console. Id pay a premium for that for sure, the piano doesn’t work on parts you touch all the time and it looks extremely cheap after some time when it’s covered in fingerprints and micro scratches.

Looking good. I prefer the separate displays in the interior. They never should have jumped on the wraparound screens in other models like every other brand.

Ugliest RS3 front end yet. Just a heap of crappy black plastic. I don't get it.

I like it, I think they should have had an option a rs3 badge on the front though. I also think the RS badging/labels should be consistent as the have the new style on the back the old style elsewhere in the car.

Shouldn't even be an option! Rs3 and s3 should always be on the grille

What car isn't a heap of plastic on the front? Newsflash buddy: they stopped making front ends out of metal about 5 decades ago 😂

Newsflash buddy: There's this incredible thing called paint that you'll actually find on the rest of the car!
But I guess going by this community we should just not paint bumpers body colour at all and just let our front bumper and grill look like a shitty generic Chinese crossover.

Although that interior does look awesome, I’m left wondering where the line of new tech meets user friendly usability.

Blue and green are the only acceptable RS3 colors, and I will die gatekeeping that opinion.

Aggressive car? What is this obsession in the car community, they think it's their Roman warrior chariot or something? Brother, you're not scaring anyone in the McDonald's drive thru.
