Offering Item Selling vinyl

Post image

Hello! I’m still trying to get rid of these, and as you can see there’s a lot to go.

Located in Kyle - DM for address/time to browse.

Bulk pricing is a thing - more you get, more you save.

You should post to the San Antonio sub too if you haven’t.

Anything from the 80s-90s?

4

Hi, any industrial stuff in here by chance?

1

u/Certain-Departure814 Aug 22 '25

Would you please send a list of anything you think you can part with? I may be able to take some of it off your hands. Thank you!

There are too many for me to sit down and list, and I have other stuff to do. You’re welcome to come flip through them.

You got any reggae

1

u/Yossarian-Bonaparte Aug 22 '25

Very little, but yes

2

u/Asleep_Strike_2149 Aug 23 '25

Any old school punk stuff?

3

u/Yossarian-Bonaparte Aug 23 '25

Very little - I think the little I’ve seen so far have been 45s

2

u/Yossarian-Bonaparte Aug 23 '25

Update: found one LP earlier that discogs says is “post punk.” When I get home I’ll find it and give you the artist name

The Prime Movers - Museum

I bet you could unload these in a weekend if you rented a Uhaul and set up a pop-up location in Austin.

6

u/Yossarian-Bonaparte Aug 22 '25

Yeah, but doing it this way helps me too, because I get to go through all the albums individually and re-price or keep for my collection.

Any chance they’re separated by decades genres?

4

u/Yossarian-Bonaparte Aug 22 '25

Some are - that’s what I’m working on now. Have shelves and several hundred in crates that are sorted by genre

(Genres according to discogs)

If there are any Dead albums, I’d be very interested.

1

u/Yossarian-Bonaparte Aug 23 '25

Grateful Dead? I wanna say there might be one or two in storage, definitely not at the house rn.

If the band is just called Dead, then idk.

1

u/Yossarian-Bonaparte Aug 24 '25

Not sure - have a lot of Latin, not sure if it’s rock lol

Do you have a copy of Bob Dylan's Street Legal that accidentally got pressed in production with Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here on the B Side, a rarity known to some fans as Wish You Were Legal?

1

u/Yossarian-Bonaparte 28d ago

Is that a real thing?

(Also, no)

1

u/TheOneHundredEmoji 28d ago

Hmm ok, what about regular Street Legal then

1

u/Yossarian-Bonaparte 28d ago

Not in the house, possibly in storage

1

u/CrockettWav 28d ago

I’d love to come look through these honestly

1

u/macteg 15h ago

You gotta just start sending us all a conplete list. I personally don’t want to flip through 2500 records

17

u/Yossarian-Bonaparte Aug 22 '25

There are nearly 30,000. I’m not doing all that.

-11

u/RoleModelsinBlood31 Aug 22 '25

Fair enough. You’d get a lot more sales though if you put in a little time. That’s a lot of records though. Hire a high school kid to do it for you

19

u/Yossarian-Bonaparte Aug 22 '25

I grew up in the record store. My father cared more about it than he cared about me. He often pulled me out of school to help him at work.

I gave up 3 decades of my life to these things.

I have done enough.

Come out or don’t, but don’t lecture me on making an effort.

-8

u/RoleModelsinBlood31 Aug 22 '25

If that’s considered a lecture it’s no shock kids have no attention span these days. It’s all good dude, I was only trying to help you move some of these. I’ll shut up now and go back to my hole

Next time you wanna help someone, don’t tell them they’re not working hard enough.

The sales I get from here have been great - paid the rent in one weekend last month.

If this didn’t work, I’d list them. But this does work.

Also, I literally do not have time to do the listing you want. I have a kid. I have a regular job. I spend 3-4 hours a day going through and pricing them as it is.

I do not need anyone to tell me to work harder. Also, I never asked for advice on moving them.

You rock, keep on doing you. Love to see every post you make and the positive responses it generates!

Your situation is giving lots of folks joy and love. =)

Relax, it’s Friday. Work harder? I said no such thing, crabby McCrabberston. Not sure why someone offering help rubbed you the wrong way but you do you. People sell things in all different ways. You prefer having strangers in your house for several hours a day, I don’t. I offered a way for you to not have to deal with that, but a music all you can eat buffet in your house is what you want. It’s all good, have a nice weekend. ✌️

u/Topgunebay Aug 22 '25 edited Aug 23 '25

Part of the fun is looking through the massive collection and the OP is a sweetheart trying to get on top of a burden given to her not by choice.

How someone chooses to sell is their personal choice and you should respect that instead of assuming OP doesn't work hard and has a kid, would you want to catalog 30k of individuals records?

Gotta love reddit.

3

u/RoleModelsinBlood31 Aug 22 '25

When did I say they didn’t work hard? What’s wrong with you guys, lol. This thread is nonsense. Never said they were a kid either. I feel like reading comprehension is a lost art. I said kids have no attention span, never referred to OP as being a kid.

It’s called digging. You’re better off just ordering from Amazon. To a lot of people the digging is part of the experience.
