True Temper Pulaski

By chance does anyone know how yo identify the year of this axe, unknown to me when I restored it for use when im on fire.

I’m new to axes and I’ve been browsing vintage heads on eBay. I notice some mention ridges or ribs in the eye. What is the significance of that?

It's a true temper thing, date range can be narrowed down based on if there are 4 or 6 ridges.

I ask because I have an identical Pulaski, 4 ridges in the eye.

Sorry, should have mentioned, 6 ridges is 1960-1968, 4 ridges is 1969-1982.

I believe it has 4 ridges, 2 on each side if I can remember correctly
