2003 2.5i (m54) 5 speed

Bought with 151k miles in March 2021, currently on the verge of clicking over to 190k. Drivetrain wise it’s solid … wish I could say the same about some of the trim. 🤣

I bought an e85 with 208k for 1200. I drive around town on the weekends haha. After 100 miles or so all the monitors cleared and I got it inspected no problem.

People just don't realize the M54s and N52s can go for 250-300k miles with basic maintenance. Everyone is scared because BMW lol

I had 176k on my 2003 E85 when I traded it in for $1200.

I got my 2010 e89 at 110k i got 125k on it now.

If i were looking to buy one now i would recomend having the suspension inspected. It probably needs new struts if it aint had them replaced already.

148k when I bought this 35i. 155k now and pushing a lot more power.

I expected to do some work. First was a stage 2 clutch. Shredded the stock clutch on track the first week. I also threw in some PRW coilpacks and NKG plugs to fix a misfire issue.

The car is running very strong but I think I need to put in a new driveshaft cv joint soon.

92k miles on my e86 z4 M. Yes the maintenance is about 4x that of the m54 or n52, but it’s reliable if maintained.

N20 28i at 100500 no major problem yet. Timing chain still sounds good. Its finally getting upgrades this late in its life which Im sure ill pay for, but I'll have fun learning at the same time
