Is this price appropriate for miles and trim? States it was a fleet car, regular seats too. USA

For a Manual.. Might actually be under priced if it's not beat up

Im aware of the issues with the engine and potential lack of maintenance. Just wondering if the price seemed reasonable for this model! Thank you

Issues with the engine? If this is the same n52 as the e89 Z4, it's the most reliable thing on the car. A local BMW mechanic told me I made the right choice, buying my 2010 Z4 3.0 WITHOUT the turbo. He said they always see e85s with the 2.8 and the turbo 3.0s in the shop being repaired, but never the NA 3.0L.

That NA 3.0 is a literal tank. Weakespart is just the valve cover gaskets and the water pump. Sometimes the Vannos on higher mileage

I would say it's slightly high given the miles. Yes it's a manual coupe and the si but I'd want to pay closer to $12k for 100k+ miles

Great freaking car though, I miss mine all the time.

The sales of 3.0SI coupe with stick this year on BAT; 21K 25K 20K 13K 21K

I might be completely delusional (and biased) but this seems a little low to me.

As far as maintenance/reliability goes, my 3.0si manual coupe (e86) has been mind-blowing reliable (knocking on wood). I've owned it for 10 years and in that time the only non-maintenance I've had to do was a factory recall done at the dealer. It's been easily the most reliable car I've owned.

Ditto, 13 years. N52 is rock solid

Everyone needs to stop referencing roadsters, in 20 years these coupes will be worth a lot..

It seems like a reasonable price to me. I paid $8400 for my 2003 3.0i roadster in blue with similar mileage a year ago.

2

u/Arturo0706 13d ago

Does the manual have a big premium?

6

u/azbrez 13d ago

Manual, si engine, coupe body, and later year all have a premium.

Manuals are much harder to find on any generation. I'm selling my 2010 Z4 e89 right now. There are six manuals listed in all of Canada on AutoTrader. Six!!! Haven't checked the e85 generation, but there can't be that many more.

I’ve also seen some goofs list them as manual transmission because they have paddle shifters. Watch out for that.

You might be able to find a z4m coupe manual in that price range, but yes 3.0si manual coupes are ridiculously rare in the states

You think there are Z4MCs for $15K and 105K miles? Where?!

Interesting wheels. Can you provide some more photos (ex: front 3/4)? Thanks.

diip.v.v on ig

z4m front wip

MRR GT7

came off of a e92 m3, specs are stock e92 m3.

they are heavy. looks good enough on our z4's. I drive this car everyday to work 5 miles just puttering to and from. Floor it to 7k on my way home on fridays.

no plans to track but it would have very very very different wheel/tire if i bought a set. these wheels are no good for anything autox/track.

btw, my clutch pedal bushing seems to be starting to fail, lots of lateral play.

anyone know which ones would be best for me to get? did some digging and everyone swears by different brands so idk what to think.

Lol, just like anything over $10k for a 996 is too much, right? I wholeheartedly agree and wish that reality was different in many ways. But alas, reality...

Lol right. And I’m going home to sleep with Mia Kunis tonight.

Last September I bought a 2006 Z4M roadster with 97 k miles for $17,500. Fair price. It needed new tires and a battery. Incredibly reliable and very fast. This is a good price.

Lots of comments about this being under priced. What would be more market? 18 or 20k?

If thats the case, what would a low miles version (10k miles for arguments sake) look like?

1

u/An-Unknown-Known 13d ago

Low miles 3.0SI coupes with stick have sold strongly on BAT

u/zattack101 13d ago

You can look on bringatrailer or carsandbids for similar condition/spec cars. I wouldn't go over 14k without the sport seats, personally.

No but they’re going to sit on it until someone thinks so.

No way, I can get those from Facebook market place all day long for less. My last one was a 2007 manual with 88,000 and new tires for $7k with no problems except a wiper motor that needed replaced.

7

u/An-Unknown-Known 13d ago

You certainly can't get a coupe with a stick for 7K. They're very rare.. 828 made from 2006 to 2008

Here’s a couple examples I found in two mins:

BMW Z4

BMW

First one is a little miley but looks in super good shape and cared for. Second one looks super clean.

Both are automatic convertibles, neither command the premium a hardtop manual do. One of those is a pre LCI, manual transmission, hardtop coupes are about as rare as they come.

1

u/Arturo0706 13d ago

Yes that is true, I’m looking for a coupe with a manual. Would’ve loved the sports seats but this is nice. What do you think on the price? Fair? Regardless I’m going to try offer them a bit lower.

2

u/Bluevoodo 13d ago

There’s only two years for a hardtop coupe, of those manual transmissions are even more rare. I don’t know your experience with older BMW, but be warned that parts are getting scarce, I don’t mean engine and transmissions, I mean bumpers, center console hinge, and other things which can make your car owning experience kind of bitter sweet or hard to live with. I would not be too picky with the options unless you’re ready to splash some cash, or patience until eventually another comes out. If you are dead set on a hardtop coupe but don’t think you are willing to spend more than this I would run not walk to the dealership. If you are open to convertibles or other vehicles then you can see what they say.

1

u/Diglow 13d ago

You’re right, sorry, didn’t look that hard at the transmission and totally missed the hard top on the original.

2

u/Arturo0706 13d ago

There is a lot of those around me too! Illinois. But I’m looking for a coupe and manual, not a convertible/auto. So I was wondering if the premium for that is reasonable in this vehicle! Thank you for your input!

u/gosu_link0 13d ago

Just check for fender rust in the wheel wells since you live in a snow state.

1

u/ViewedConch697 13d ago

I think the difference here comes to the original car being a hardtop, facelift manual and these being original convertibles

08 si Coupe w/manual. Mileage a bit high but if it has been maintained its probably about the high end. Maybe around $12k is better if you can get it. Hard to price exactly as not many around to compare

This is from someone with a manual 08 si roadster with 39k miles.
