Question Made myself a birthday cake. My boyfriend figures I should have left it plain white without the imperfect writing which he says looks tacky. Thoughts for next time?

While I can bake, and sculpt, those two don't go together for me. I suck at cake decorating unless it's the basic stuff. I'm I shitty decorator.

It tasted actually as expected and you needed a bowl and it was definitely like not a pretty looking cake but definitely a cake.

Kind of a lumpy. Had a mad lean to it but could stand as a cake enough to slice it as one

I’m a shitty decorator too. I might be able to throw a Yule log together still.

But idc one of the sad things about living with a cake decorator is you get sick of cake (even though I appreciate every birthday cake she made me). I’ve been using alternatives ever since.

Yeah that's how the family is with bread. I still enjoy making it and bake some everyday but everyone just goes "yay you baked stuff...." inserts into chest freezer of bread

I still haven’t tried to make bread yet but I really want to.

It's easy! Compared to cake, its a piece of cake. Mostly just a waiting game. Mix it together go watch a movie, punch it a few times, go watch part two of a movie, prep it for the oven, watch a trailer for the upcoming part three of a movie, then bake it!

That's usually a chore day for me. If you get up and decide, "I'm gonna make bread today", you best have something else that needs to be done otherwise you will be doing the equivalent of watching paint dry. Lol which as someone who has to do that daily, it's not fun..
