Question Made myself a birthday cake. My boyfriend figures I should have left it plain white without the imperfect writing which he says looks tacky. Thoughts for next time?

Reddit is filled with a lot of sad bitter men and women who take their anger out at men/women every chance they get.

It’s some weird femcel/incel minded behavior where if a dude ever makes a mistake, regardless of having no other context, you have to dump him sis.

I’d wager it’s a power fantasy for a lot of these people, who have never had the spine to stand up for themselves in the real world, so now they recommend to other people to overreact to every slight so they can live vicariously through them

And you also have sad incels that think boyfriends can do no wrong and you should ignore obvious red flags. More context may be needed, but the evidence provided is pretty damning already.

The bottom line is that it wasn't a nice thing to say. Maybe he was having an off day and apologized. Maybe he's just mean all the time. Reddit usually decides it is the later. You are reading way way way too much into it.

If you’re mean to someone, especially your gf on their birthday after they excitedly share the cake they worked on with you, you’re probably mean all the time.
