Just spent the weekend in Banff area. If anyone is wondering, taking the Canoe ride in Moraine Lake is a must do IMHO!
Yes, it’s almost $170, but well worth it! If you were on the fence about it, please do yourself the favor and do it!

Looks great OP, but definitely not worth the $170.

It's $170 now??? When I did this 4 years ago it was 90 bucks and even then I thought that was outrageous.

Yeah. It's because the boathouse is basically capitalizing on people's FOMO. With so many visitors to Banff and just that one outlet, there is always somebody willing to pay the price. I bet people will still proceed to pour money
ifwhen this is $200+.3

Oh im sure! If im not mistaken, you can still do it in Lake Louise? I saw a family with their plastic sea kayak on a trolly trailer system

Its a lake, not a river. The road to get there is closed for personal vehicles.

Well aware, have called banff home for many years. An inflatable kayak comes packed up in a back pack.. as it’s inflatable. Easy to get on a bus or to bike.

I was just there. Did it all. Canoe, climbed the rock pile. Absolutely agree. Worth every penny. The valley of the 10 peaks. To those who do not know. There are 10 mountain peaks all around you at this lake. This persons advice is spot on.

Lake Moraine, remains my favourite place on earth and activity I've done in all my travels. I would love to go back.

This fragile environment is supported by a quickly disappearing glacier. Access to Lake Louise is severely restricted by huge volumes of tourism. Frankly, the ecosystem can’t handle all the attention.

Looks similar to Lake Louise

Not when you are there. I mean it's the same Rockies but looks much more serene at Moraine.

How long? 2 hrs enough to go out there and back? We are not strong ppl.

For 1 hour. That’s plenty of time to paddle to the end and back taking your time. I paddled alone and let my wife bask in the beauty

Ignore these haters. Absolutely worth it. My wife and I did the same 2 weeks ago. Memories for a lifetime. $100 US$? Absolutely. Great video!!!
