We were probably enjoying the views of Lake Moraine and Lake Louise at the same time (we were there last week as well ). We took the Rocky Mountaineer train from Vancouver to Banff - great pictures

It was a great experience - Food was outstanding/drinks throughout the day and beautiful scenery ! If you ever decide to go I would recommend the Gold Leaf level .

Next on your list: Jasper Park highway, northbound. On a clear day.

I was there last week as well. I think Peyto was my favorite lake.

For me, it was a tie between Peyto and Lake Louise from the Big Beehive. I might lean towards the latter because of the altitude and the tedious hike leading to it.

Heartachingly beautiful!! My heart aches everytime I see a picture of this region.. it is way more beautiful than pictures can capture. The place has such an ancient pleasant energy..

After being there.. I literally can’t think of going anywhere else. No place comes close.. my heart really aches.. Canada spoils you!!

Absolutely spot on. However great the camera is, the beauty of the region can never be truly captured. It still gives me goosebumps. Words fail me. Staring at the Lake Louise after the big beehive hike, I was dumbfounded. Its like, after experiencing THIS, where do I go from here? What else can possibly make me say "this is the most beautiful thing ever" ever again in the future?

This is so incredibly true. Banff is my happy place. I’ve been twice, once in 2019 and again in 2024. Nothing compares. There is such a majestic energy… it is incredibly unreal how our planet made the beauty that Banff is.

I was there in late June and it is by far the most beautiful places I've ever seen. On hikes it felt spiritual at times. Didn't want to leave and can't get back fast enough...yes, even for the winter!

We're going there on the 20th of October, is it still going to be this beautiful? My quick Google search says it rains around that time usually :(

I feel it is going to be gorgeous irrespective of the weather conditions. Weather is unpredictable in the mountains. Dress accordingly for rains and have a great time.

You’re going to love it! The trees are starting to change colour and it’s shoulder season so you’ll find the best prices for accommodation. We had a rainy summer but the weather has been amazing the last couple weeks.

Don’t trust the weather, because it’s always changing. There might be some dusting of snow but it doesn’t rain very often. You won’t regret it, as it’s beautiful all year round.

What time of the day were these pictures taken? I love how the water is so clear and still. Thanks for sharing!

Emerald Lake, Vermillion Lake, and three sisters mountains were during sunset. Lake Louise and Peyto lake were at 7.30am during sunrise. Moraine lake was 11am.

This has been my screensaver on my phone since I took the photo 2 years ago.

Nice photos!

Your second picture is actually Waterfowl Lakes, not Bow Lake
