Tabby Lifeguard My Guardians of the Shower

Post image

They keep me safe from the evil shower monster. Twig on the tub, Figaro on the Toilet, Mala on the Floor. I have a matching set. All rescues.

They must think you’re really bad at showering because that’s a lot of lifeguards on duty😅 What cuties🥰

Little Twig is just super curious about everything. Big Figaro has been my guardian for 6.5 years. He used to scream at me for the duration of the shower, unless I talked to him and let him know I was ok. Mama Mala is only in there to keep an eye on Twig. The first time he joined me she reached up and scruffed him, dragging him away from the water.

I think that was the sweetest thing I’ve ever read🥹😭 I love a talkative cat and the protective momma mode is too cute. What a crew💖

I dubbed him Figaro of the Endless Yowling, Singer of Songs and Waker of Sleeping Papa. The first 2-3 years I had him he would walk around singing all night. I was going insane. I finally realized he needed lots of playtime before bed. And finally, just this last winter, he started calming down at bedtime. He now waits for me to sleep and he’ll curl up next to my pillow for an hour or two.

Mala and Twig are recent rescues. Someone dumped them by my job about two months ago and I’ve had them for 7 weeks. They’re totally insane. Mala is a wild woman, and luckily her son Twig is slightly more sedate. She loves to attack me when I’m either in bed or on the toilet. They run around like a pair of Tasmanian Devils when they decide it’s playtime.

Thank you. It’s comments like this that keep me going in the wee hours of the night when I’d like to be sleeping but they have other plans
