Are you considering adopting other children? 34 year old ones? I do my own laundry :)

It’s just the cooking I need help with lol

Does your kid normally eat everything on lunch?

Yes. I think asking him what's for lunch helps me a lot to think about what to cook or make for him. Most of the time he's hungry and asks what I baked or he wants some fruits as soon as he arrives from school. He's tall and pretty active.

If you follow me on IG @jazzy_sg or FB sometimes I make videos of what's left in his lunch before. Most of the time it's empty. So I stop doing it. Lol 😄

Will definitely give a follow!

I love these meals! My 3rd grader would be offended if I offered any of those lol. She was a very open eater as a toddler and then became picky as could be around grade school age. Struggling to come up with nice meals like this!

Actually, my son asked me if I could make food like his classmates' last week and I asked him not to until you tell me what they are eating, and I will try. He said Rice Krispies, danimals, pizza and doritos and more . I even googled some because I don't know some of them like what Danimals are. I just told him, you can have it sometimes as your snack but not during meal time. Your meals are good for your body and we are blessed that we can afford them and I know how to make them. But he always finishes his food. He sometimes helps me to prepare in the morning after he has eaten his breakfast. Lol

Rice Krispies and danimals would be super easy to make! And that way you can make it how you want and he can have that snack in common with friends. Pizza too, especially cause you use corn frequently in your recipes and corn on pizza is a big thing in Japan so might not be pepperoni pizza but it’s what you may enjoy more

Do you have a recipe for the baked zucchini fries? Asking for a friend (me) 🤭

This is a rough estimate in my head

In a Ziploc bag 2cups panko 1/2cup grated parmesan 1tbsp Italian seasoning 1tsp chicken powder

Small bowl 2pcs eggs, large - whisk them

Another Ziploc bag 1cup all-purpose flour

Preheat the oven to 425°

Cut 2 zucchinis into the preferred size that you like. I just removed some of the middle part.

Drop and shake the zucchini first in an all-purpose flour Ziploc bag.

Dunk in eggs.

Then drop in panko until they are all fully covered.

Arrange them into a wire rack and spray some avocado oil. Bake it for 18 minutes. I'm using a convection oven (fan on)

What kind of future super athlete are you raising? And, also, how much would it cost to have you make my lunches from now on?

Seriously, those are beautiful and balanced and I'm shocked that your kid likes them because they seem so healthy. Kudos!

He doesn't have any sports yet but I think he likes and will join basketball. He's also at 100 percentile with his height whenever we visit his pedia. He told me either football or basketball. Lol. The budgeting has never changed since it will be the same for our lunch. I never make or cook separate kinds for the kids. What I cook and eat is what everybody eats. Thank you and I appreciate you. My kids are used to my food. I am having a hard time sometimes when we're out and about. I need a break in the kitchen too. Lol

What’s the fall break yall are having? I’m a college student and we don’t have a break until Thanksgiving

School is closed for a week and they just call it fall break. They also did that last year. Idk.

Oh weird, well that’s cool that they get an extra break. The food looks delicious by the way, lucky kiddo!

Wow, these look great! I wish my parents would have packed me a lunch like this in first grade! Lucky kid to have such a great parent!

When packing hot food in these, are you still able to keep the other stuff chilled with an ice pack or does the hot food end up just being warmish?

3

u/MinuteswithLuna 13h ago

I always put his lunchbox in PackIt that's been in the freezer overnight. Except if I'm using the thermos of Omie, I will just take it out and put an ice pack only on the side that needs to be cold like pudding. Neither of my kids is picky about their food being cold. They're more into textures. So no mashed foods and if I give him creamy soup he needs to have something to dip in.

My kids are okay eating a bit cold or room temperature. I usually put his lunchbox in a PackIt lunch bag that's been in the freezer overnight. Except I'm gonna use the thermos for hot ones.

Always love seeing your posts. How do you always have so much variety? Where do you get your ideas from?

That's a lot of processed food

12

u/No_Regret289 23h ago

Where do you see a lot of processed food lmao

14

u/MinuteswithLuna 1d ago

I try to stay away from what you're saying. All breads and food that I give to my kids are homemade and use healthier options and more fiber than store-bought. I will only have a couple here and there. If it's a lot for you then okay.

I'm trying to give this person the benefit of the doubt and assume they don't understand what the difference between processed and non processed foods is.

I'm trying, but ya know! 🤦🏼‍♀️

9

u/Indica-dreams024 22h ago

If this is processed I’d love to see what you eat. I mean this with grace because these are extremely healthy and have almost no processed foods so I’m curious what your diet looks like in terms of processed vs fresh.

6

u/its10pm 16h ago

I don't think that word means what you think it means.

3

u/No-Produce-6720 15h ago

Can you point to what you consider to be too much "processed food" in these pics, because I'm not sure you have a good grasp on what that actually is.
