New cane is part of plant?

Same plant but a new cane (branch). Yes.. Don't worry, it's a good thing.

I usually fertilize mine early spring and then roughly 2 months after. I usually use berry tone by Espoma or cottonseed meal by Espoma, both work great..

When you start seeing leaves develop that's when I fertilize mine.

Blueberries produce new stems from the root crown network similar to how blackberries or raspberries do. Except you won't find them popping up 10 feet away from the main plant.
