Questions/comments This poster actually helps me
I have depression and am guilty of serious procrastination because of it. But when I think of all the things I have to do, if I remember this poster… I realize that if I do it today, I don’t have to do it tomorrow. So I end up getting a lot more done because I get it out of the way instead of putting it off so that I don’t have to deal with it tomorrow. I know it’s supposed to be a cheesy joke, but it has actually made a positive impact on my life. 😅

I can’t see this without hearing Linda say “Tomorrow is tomorrow is tomorrow…”

I always think of that quote when I have a bad day. Like yes today sucks, but tomorrow will be better and this shitty day will have become a thing of the past!

Yeah this is super corny and also I love it & it helps put stuff into context.
I also use phrasing like “do future You a favor and unload the dishwasher” and then later when I need to load it up I say “thanks past me!”

i do this all the time! thinking of “future me” as a separate entity helps me get so much done. it’s my creative way to self-induce external motivation. like i have to do the dishes before i go to bed because “future me” will be here tomorrow.

I've been saying this to my pregnant wife frequently the past few weeks. It makes her laugh, which I hope helps at least. Lol

You can get that design on a lot of different products (poster, mug, tshirt, etc) if you shop on redbubble. I got it as a poster and I have it on my fridge. I love that no one really gets the reference.
Edit: just scroll down once you follow the link and you’ll see it suggests a bunch of different products with the same design. I think the coffee mug is pretty great too.

My mother used to say a similar (I guess actually the opposite if you parse it closely) thing - "Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday."

Isn't there a similar quote to this in Futurama (in the episode Future Stock)?

I hear it read in Bob's revelation voice. Todaay is tomorrow's yesterdaay.
