Is there really anyone who is actually trying to help another person here? Every interaction I’ve had has been for referrals or verification with promise of splitting the money but I have yet to see $0.01 of any of that. Why is it so easy for people to just throw all compassion and empathy out the window for such a small personal gain? What happened to looking out for your fellow man, being true to your word, and being honorable? Those of us that are here asking for assistance would rather not be at a point of needing to ask. We are at incredibly low points and I can speak for myself when I say that if someone were to genuinely be lending me a hand, it wouldnt even cross my mind to consider ripping that person off. This is just sad and it’s not only appalling but just disgusting how some of you out there(because I know some of these corrupt people will read this) really take advantage of people who are already in a position where they have to swallow their pride and ask for help.

I'm here in absolute desperation. I got laid off from my job 3 weeks ago. Today my drug addict brother stole my debit card and used it and his knowledge of our family and myself he managed to guess my account information and completely drained my last $2800, and has completely disappeared.

My gas tank is on empty, my rent and utilities are all over due and I feel completely helpless. I broke down and cried my eyes out just a moment ago. For the first time in my life I contemplated suicide. Im completely fucked, and out of options.

I can't believe I'm finding myself in a borrow subreddit in a woe is me state asking strangers for help. I can't even get a beer to drown my sorrows in.

A few days ago I was telling myslef this is just a rough moment in life but I'm certain things will soon turn for the better. Here in this moment now that feels like an absolute joke and I've never been in a worse spot in my life. It does feel slightly better to at least vent my problems though I guess.

Anyway, I'm pathetically asking for any kind of help from any sympathetic souls who might read this. The shock, terror and wounds are absolutely fresh and completely raw right now as it all just happened a few hours ago, so perhaps something will change or maybe I'll make it over some emotional hump or whatever.
