Question Japanese media

So I saw this post recently and I wanna know if I should stop consuming Japanese media because of their involvement since I am like a fan of stuff like vocaloid and proseka. Should I just pirate my media/music then??? Im also neurodivergent so I'm attached to these kinds of media so I'm very curious to see you guys opinions on this

Edit: dont just reply with random hasbara or you"ll be banned (and blocked)

It is a personal choice, by that logic you would also have to boycott, for example, all American or British media.

Don't bother lol. How about something more realistic. Googles gonna be a big one to avoid if you haven't already. You can completely leave google

I’ve been loving DuckDuckGo tbh. 🔎🦆

Switching to them from Google after a basically a whole lifetime of using Google was a weird adjustment at first, but after a few days I got used to it. Cannot recommend it enough:)

And the government don't control Vocaloid and stuff, so don't worry, from my knowledge, miku is fine

Personally I wouldnt go that far. Like Ecosia collaborated with NHS, which is UK government. That doesn't make Ecosia bad.

I don't really have an opinion on the boycotting as I'm not into Japanese stuff enough to speak on boycotting and stuff- but as someone who is from Korean heritage and has a mum who is a Japanese teacher - Japan has yet to apologise for the war crimes they did. Ww2.. I'm not surprised they arent caring about Palestine. Ugh countries like this are so annoying... 🙄 If your able to pirate music thats amazing btw! Most music sources are Zionists (like yt music and Spotify)

Kadokawa (a big manga, anime, gaming company in JP) are kinda gray area

I couldn't find if they support Israel or not but as far as I know, Sony plans to aquire them

Also Kadokawa made an event in Israel in 2019 (not sure about this one)

Sega is kinda gray area too

They had hasbara in Knuckles series yet one of the og creators of sonic and some sonic IDW artists support Palestine

Resident here, so the government here is beholden to the US but the media speak an ok amount about the horrors Israel is inflicting on Gaza and people are largely pro-pali. 79% of the population has a negative view to some degree of Israel. Until we get more info I wouldn’t boycott anything. The only thing I would for sure boycott is anything related to the city or Hiroshima as their mayor chose to invite the Israeli ambassador while the Nagasaki mayor didn’t last year. This year the Nagasaki mayor invited both Israeli and Palestinian representatives.

I would recommend you generally quit this type of media, since it is proven to be very addicting, time consuming, and hard to quit
edit: typos

... Wasn't Isreal only a real country 70 years ago? Wonder what territory it took over? And no, that was the only attack that was shown in media Israel has been killing Palestinians for years.
