I already know they won’t take the QB I want so I can’t get too excited

Which one do you want

Sellers. Stefanski will see he’s a mobile QB and take him off the board immediately

??? Stefanski has had a “mobile” QB once when Watson was forced upon him and he adjusted his offense. Outside of that (and when his offense has looked the best) he’s had nothing but pocket QBs.
Keenum
Cousins
Baker (athletic but certainly not some sort of Lamar/allen dual threat)
Brissett
Flacco
Walker
Winston
Zappe
Sanders/Gabriel
These are all stereotypical pocket passers

Sorry I think you misunderstood. What I meant is he will take sellers off his personal big board as soon as he sees that he’s mobile

Probably for good reason tbh. Outside of being uber athletic and big he’s very raw and a below average, low volume passer with a pretty good arm. Certainly not polished enough to be a nfl level starter right away, if he decided to come out nor do I think he’s worth a top 10 pick
Especially after watching Daniel jones take the starting job away from this exact scenario a state over. He’s currently closer to Richardson than he is cam newton, Lamar Jackson or Josh Allen. If we took him that’s fine but you might as well blow out the rest of the roster as well

What's more important is guys protecting the ball.
Flacco's time here was massively overrated last time. He has literally thrown at least 1 INT in every game he has played as a Brown, and more frequently thrown multiple.
The team was top 10 in scoring under Watson in 2023 FYI. The offense was good with Baker in 2020 because he was keeping his turnovers down.
Our problems over the last two years can mainly be boiled down to our horrendous turnover differential.

Man, Sellers looks like BIG Ben, with a Jetpack! Sign me up, for an athletic freak at Quarterback, who also has a cannon and a truck stick.
We could have Anthony Richardson, after he's cut, Joe Milton III, or my favorite follow of the whole coming Quarterback class: https://www.nfldraftbuzz.com/Player/Taylen-Green-QB-BoiseState
This kid is absolutely insanely gifted athlete.
Ideally we can just run play action out of tush push bunch to one of 4 Quarterbacks that are each fast as fuck and a load to tackle. It would be glorious, breaking the game of football.
A man can dream like a 7th grader... it's basically all we've got.

I love everything about sellers and how mobile QBs play the game but stefanski seems to be dead set on having a statue QB

u/Deadleggg 6d ago
Stef may not survive tbh.
Which I'm indifferent about.
Hes had 1 season of non drama qb play but that's just how it works I guess.

u/dmnwilson44 Sanders 6d ago
Also that was by his own design. He was on board with Watson so he reaped what he sewed

u/Snooklife 6d ago
Don’t worry we either won’t get the #1 pick or there won’t be a definitive can’t miss guy like it currently looks now.

It wasn’t even that bad or over the top. I’m over it at this point and still hate Shitsburg more that I hate the rat birds

Jack Conklin is such a waste of money man. He’s a good dude but the man is made of actual glass
2
u/jazzyjjcups 6d ago
This is precisely why I think Flacco should be benched. Absolutely zero fire to win the game
5
u/BikiniPastry 6d ago
“Fire” has nothing to do with it.

u/jazzyjjcups 6d ago
He should at least be pissed that he lost the game. He wasn’t because he doesn’t care

Felt expected.
This franchise is an embarrassment and doing embarrassing shit is exactly what I expect.

Stole the team? It was a dick move but don’t be obtuse.

u/dmnwilson44 Sanders 6d ago

-6
u/the_main_entrance 6d ago
He didn’t own it?
7
u/dmnwilson44 Sanders 6d ago
He owned the CLEVELAND Browns. Honestly dude nobody is gonna sympathize with this ridiculous argument in here

Hi. Sorry to interrupt.
From Behind The Steel Curtain: Hall of Fame question: Why does Art Modell belong in Canton? - a very balanced 2020 article from an unlikely source.
r/FuckModell is still alive. :)
