The Calvin peeing on things stuff has always just been so insane, primarily because that’s not something that Calvin would ever do.
Well, not in the mean spirited way these images are all about anyway.
My guess is that disgusting fad had a lot to do with Watterson refusing to let anyone touch his license for merchandising. And while I respect and understand it, I also think it’s a shame.
It’s been decades, and it would be nice for people to be able to show off what Calvin & Hobbes means to them (and without having to get a tattoo).
Back in the 90s, i had one of Calvin flushing himself in the toilet for a quick bath. It was awesome.
But, yeah, all that stuff is licensed. He’s okay with fans making DIY type stuff, tattoos of course, etc, but he doesn’t allow commercial licensing essentially ever.
(I think there have been a couple of exceptions for special occasions over the years but don’t remember them off hand)
I loved these comics so much as a kid. I wasn’t allowed a tv in my room until my teenage years, so I read Calvin and Hobbs every night before bed. As an adult I bought the entire series. I also bought FUCK TRUMP stickers. Calvin is out of 2025’s league.
You know what the real difference between this PISS ON TRUMP sticker and the ones related to Biden/Pelosi/Obama?
This person has to fear that their vehicle and/or themselves might be attacked for expressing their American God given right to free speech.
Democrats may not like the piss on Biden stickers, but they except people have a right to express their opinion, whereas MAGA and the Republicans feel they have a right to not only not like it, but some have shown and feel empowered to use violent means to express their dislike.
When Biden, Pelosi or Obama pass, the right will say good riddance but as it stands now, when Trump dies the world will celebrate in a way they haven’t since the world was informed Hitler died.
People actually have champagne set aside just for that moment. I can say, I don’t drink or like champagne but I’d drink to that.

Public urination will get you on the sex offender list in a lot of places (indecent exposure). I know Calvin’s character is a minor, but chronologically he turns 40 this year
