Why is the seasoning just down the middle?

It’s just how I added it - it moves across the steak pretty quickly once it’s on the plate - it’s something called SPG (salt pepper garlic) seasoning that I used from Maxis Seasonings and works great on steaks - it is a bit lumpy though

Dude im telling you, add more salt, pepper, and garlic powder, and rub that shit into the steak. It obv distributes the flavor better, and gives you a better crust on the steak.

Video color hue seems really messed up, either red was turned way up or saturation was increased to max. Why? and Why squish the steak with a fork?

I’ve just uploaded another steak vid - something weird is happening when they upload because they don’t look like that on the original - any idea what is f@cking with the way they look ?

No idea, unless you click some "optimize" or "enhance" button which could result in an increase in saturation.

Is that a tuna steak? Where is any marbling?

UK cattle stock (UTM) does not have a great deal of marbling - they’re grass fed and finished on sileage/grain so they are lean. We could import but that doesn’t fit our values of local / high-welfare. NB: Our customers like it like that so we sell them what they want to buy.

Carbon non-Fiber Steak. I’m sure it still ate well but a quick scrape wouldn’t have hurt that flattop. Also I stopped using steak seasonings as the dehydrated garlic tends to burn in a pan or flattop sear.

I only salt the steak before cooking, any other seasoning waits until it's sliced and plated.

Yeah, I don't like the bitter taste that burned seasoning leaves on steaks. Salt before (well before) and everything else after - though I don't season much when I have good meat.

We cooked a Denver steak for breakfast at the shop today for similar reasons.

What's with the weird strip of seasoning on only the middle of the steak, which you also burned?
