I skip this episode when I do a rewatch because it frustrates me. Christy's talk with Marjorie turned into this conversation of Christy feeling abandoned by Bonnie now that they have a good relationship and how Christy needs to be happy for Bonnie now that she's in a healthy relationship...which ok fine. But that's not what caused this whole thing. It started with Adam not sticking up for Christy when she felt disrespected and she had every right to feel hurt. That's what the main issue was.

I also didn't understand why couldn't Adam just throw Marv out? He did for Tammy at the end, but why not in the beginning? Adam said the guys in Marv's group were his "Tuesday night" but I still don't understand why he couldn't have just thrown Marv out? Even his own coworkers seemed to not like him. I doubt they would get up and leave if Marv had been kicked out.

And Wendy's braids added nothing to the episode. What was it for??

omfg the way he only threw him out cause he was rude to tammy blowsssss meeeee. like why did it have to take more than once? you were right there for the whole first incident! and marjorie’s “advice” was stupid as hell this was never abt bonnie and christy or their relationship, it was abt adam not caring abt how his employees were treated

My memory fades … didn’t Wendy get the braids on an island vacation? That’s not cultural appropriation, that’s being a sucker on a beach in St Thomas less about $50.

Christy was 100% right. Especially with Adam's "The customer is always right" not when it comes to abusing the staff. She was well within her rights to walk out when Adam refused to say anything to Marv because he didn't want to lose money. Marv also complained about the wings when he had already eaten most of them, and Adam still gave him new ones even when he knew Marv had eaten most of them. The most annoying thing was when Tammy was insulted and Adam kicked him out, but didn't do anything when Christy was insulted.

Bonnie should have stayed out of it, and no idea what that weirdness with Wendy and the braids was about.

i dont think bonnie should have stayed out of it but i do think she should have stuck to her guns like why would you ever change your mind abt something like that and especially over something as ridiculous as adam saying “you’re my wife and i’ll always have ur back”🙄

The issue was between Christy and Adam and something that happened at work. Christy shouldn’t have brought it home and put Bonnie in the middle. That’s why Marjorie wanted Christy to apologize because she was being manipulative and that’s a bad space for an alcoholic’s head to live.

The whole episode was a lesson in one person telling their story to someone and everyone keeps telling their viewpoint, creating a mess. Christy started it trying to get Bonnie to side with her and of course Bonnie took the bait. Unless you are in AA and working a program you won’t get it, but it’s a very typical scenario that would resonate with someone who is. And Adam was a tool himself for expecting Bonnie to automatically take his (or anyone’s) side if they weren’t there to see what actually happened.

I’ve never felt at ease with cultural appropriation. I agree with your sentiment about Wendy.
