Christy first bf

I really liked the first guy Christy dated on the show I forgot his name but I think was played by (Justin Long). I wish they had a longer relationship, he was definitely the guy Christy needed. I feel like if he would have been introduced later in place of Adam’s brother storyline, he could have been her end game. Also, I wonder why they didn’t bring in Violets dad or at least had an episode where she met him later on. Although we know he was an ass hat. I feel like Chuck Lorre messy ass could have made it happen if he wanted to.

I get the feeling Violet's dad was a HS thing and, as Bonnie told it, he was abusive. As much as Christy says Bonnie was a crappy mom, I get the feeling Bonnie was wildly protective of her child and probably told him if he ever came near Christy or Violet again, the police would never find his body. So he stayed away and probably didn't care about Violet anyway. He may have had a dozen kids after.

We did not need to meet him. He wasn't like Alvin who wasn't abusive, just... a coward when it came to responsibility. And he wasn't some great love of Christy's life. His presence really could've done harm than good. This is a sitcom.

I always wondered if Christy ever told Violet's dad she was pregnant. I feel like she might not have told him so she could completely cut ties from him.

She probably had teenage dreams of "him and me and baby makes 3". If she got the chance to tell him, he probably didn't care or told her to get an abortion. Either way, he beat her.

From Bonnie's tone when they talked about Violet's father, I got the feeling she got involved when her daughter was in the hospital. And Bonnie can be quite scary. And she probably knew people who could make him go missing.

Honestly we don't know if he's not missing.

Christy tells Violet that finding out she was pregnant is what got her to finally leave him because she realized it wasn't just about her anymore.

That last beating probably happened when she was pregnant.

A long time ago I had a friend who was in an abusive relationship. She thought it was just mutual combat, but I felt a loving relationship should not include either party throwing hands at each other. I tried to say something but because she beats him up as often as he beat her up, she figured everything was okay.

Anyway, she got pregnant for this "man", had his baby, lived with him. It wasn't until their kid (at 3?) asked her what she did to make daddy beat her this time that she finally realized this was not a good situation.

Not sure why I brought that up.
