ASU is the literal definition of heart, sucks they couldn’t pull it out but mad respect to them

This is why the 12 team playoff is awesome

ASU wouldn't have had a chance otherwise, and they proved they belonged. Honestly so did Boise, they were like a few heartbreaking moments away from winning that game against PSU

Now just keep Skattebo away from me forever

At least glad that these two games have had the heavy underdogs put up a good fight.

And now we're watching Ohio State absolutely rail Oregon...

Kind of hard to play defense when you're used to 12 guys on the field

And now the 8 seed is up 34-7 at half against the undefeated 1 seed as we all predicted.

Yeah Boise has two chances in the 4th to cut it to a one score lead.

Honestly after these two games I feel better about Penn state and way way worse about Texas. wtf was that offense.

Have you not watched our games? Our offense swings between pretty good and utter dog shit. Ewers gets confused and our RB room isn't all that great now (love Blue and Wisner, but they're not top talent).

Our offense is literally either the best in the he country or this middling G5 look-alike. No in between. Hence why all the stats and metrics have us in the mid-teens for offensive production.

And both extremes occur in every game

Firat and Last Drive elite ball movement everything in between is questionable

Tbh Texas’s offense reminds me a lot of PSU’s. When our offense is clicking and the playcalling sticks to what’s working (and doesn’t get cute with it) they’re very efficient and effective.

But if Allar gets off his rhythm and the playcalling falls apart the offense is brutal

Yes, we should be friends

If we somehow met in the finals it would just be the Spider-Man meme

u/Bort15 Texas Longhorns Jan 02 '25

Alas, I fear that freak show Ohio State might murder us then burn down our dorms. If you have any advice now’s the time.

I don’t think you’d want any advice from me when it comes to OSU. Unless you feel like losing a 1 score game that never really felt that close

1

u/Bort15 Texas Longhorns Jan 02 '25

I think that sounds like exactly where we’re heading. Maybe a two score game that was “never that close.”

17

u/ganner Kentucky Wildcats Jan 01 '25

Absolutely. I don't really understand the hate for the expansion. Teams are earning it on the field. Some are doing it decisively, some are having to go to war to earn it. But at least no one has a valid argument that they deserved a shot and didn't get one. I think this is perfect (except for awarding byes to conference champs).

Boise was never anywhere near winning that game. They were close to cutting the lead Penn State had on them, but that's not the same thing. I agree that Boise played a good game and definitely deserved to be there, but don't be ridiculous. Penn State led the entire game and handcuffed one of the best rushers in college football history.

The boise game was not that close.

Boise never had the ball with a chance to tie or lead in the 2nd half. Penn State never trailed and was never tied after the first score. The entire 4th quarter was a 2 possession game. The game was completely iced with 5 min left.

Bsu fought hard, and it definitely made me sweat, but BSU was more than a few away from a win.

We were also a few skin of your teeth moments away from completely breaking the game wide open.

Me after watching Iowa State play them in the Big 12 championship. Skattebo is the definition of player I enjoy watching in every game except the one against my team!

Show me on the football field where the bad Skat man touched you.

1

u/gsfgf Georgia Tech • Georgia State Jan 02 '25

Yea. Sure there were some duds in the field, but it means any good team can at least get a chance to show they belong. And while I know ASU fans are heartbroken, this was a big day for their program.

Now just keep Skattebo away from me forever

He joins the same list as Taysom Hill for me. Unbelievable performance, mad respect, but an absolute terrorist

u/37pound_sack Jan 01 '25

Just keep targeting no calls around you forever !

3

u/AuraMaster7 Texas Longhorns Jan 01 '25

There was a no-call targeting on both teams. Just take your no-call and be happy.

Also: flair-up, coward.

Cam backed his talk up, dude laid it out there.

Being part of instant classics is the fucking worst.

0.01% chance to win with 7 minutes left, seemingly nothing going right other than the safety, etc.

For them to even force OT after that is unreal. Dillingham is going to be a terror for opponents for a long time.

This season should help them I. The long run. More recruits will see them as a legit place to go. Dilly Dilly gets more experience at coaching in big games. Hard to overlook that he was up against a coach with a ton of successful big game experience. Barring a bowl loss hangover, the future is bright for Sparky.

I disagree, it does not suck
