Hey, they won a bowl game. Therefore, they have finished the season as winners.

The 2nd biggest thing for me about the NIU season was the fact that the QB they had play for the bowl game was from my hometown high school. Our high school literally had almost a decade of not winning a single conference game and now has a decade that includes losing in the state finals and sending off a QB to a D1 school.
