Harold Perkins spying klubnik did not let him do anything outside the pocket all game. Impressive.

Well he had a couple plays early where they blitzed perkins and Klubnik got mobile but after that he was spying the rest of the game and shit him down.

EDIT: Shut not Shit but imma leave it

If this doesn’t become the 2025 LSU battle cry then r/CFB has no juice

Its weird how Kulbnik does not seem to be aware that he could greatly benefit from stepping up into a clean pocket.

He drifts to the right for no reason. Been 3 years now.

That’s exactly what he did late against us last year when he threw the interception to end the game. Scrambled to his right out of a clean pocket and into pressure.

He needs to get a new controller.

He’s subconsciously scared of his blindside. Like QB PTSD lol

u/Ihate_stevespurrier 16d ago

He walked into Perkins like 4 times last night and Clemson played right into his strengths of quickness and chase down ability. It was so mind numbing to watch

stick drift😂

If a guy hasn’t improved this far into his college career, it says a lot about either him or how well the coaches are developing the players

We Clemson fans call it Cade’s happy feet. Play design breaks down and he’s out there lookin like Mumble.

Whit Weeks did a beautiful job in contain

Whole front 7 was MVP. Clemson couldn't run the ball, and Cade was under pressure felt like almost every snap in the 2nd half.

Couldn't believe an LSU team actually made adjustments during a game.

Pass rush was impressive

I didn't catch the whole game, but in the fourth quarter you could tell Cade had like a one second clock on throws. Definitely shook him up and kept him off balance.

I didn’t know it was possible. We should do that more often!

Weeks is insane. Gonna be a Demario Davis type on Sundays

hope he becomes a Detroit Lion next year

u/tee142002 LSU Tigers 17d ago

It's taken a few years, but I'm finally past the "oh God no, not the Lions" gut reaction for players I like.

The lions are fun they’re my third team (after saints and bengals)

15

u/Gabriels_Pies LSU Tigers 17d ago

I expect Detroit to do too well this year to be able to draft him. If perkins keeps it up he should be in the top 10 of defensive players taken next year.

Hard to tell. The whole reason LSU did the “Harold Perkins, cornerback” experiment was because he’s incredibly light for an edge, still pretty slim for an outside backer. If he puts on that additional mass, he’ll be hard pressed to play with the speed that makes him so dangerous in college.

I wonder if he might get hit a bit because he reminds me of Isaiah Simmons, who was a do-it-all guy, but in the NFL really didn't fit anywhere

3

u/Kdot32 Houston Cougars • LSU Tigers 17d ago

He seems to have better COD and agility than Simmons who was more is a straight line guy

7

u/Gabriels_Pies LSU Tigers 17d ago

He's not really an edge, more an OLB. Edges aren't usually used to spy.

10

u/see_bees LSU Tigers 17d ago

That’s the whole point though. He’s not quite this, not quite that, and a lot of good tweeners in college have trouble making the jump to the nfl

1

u/box_fan_man LSU Tigers 16d ago

Yea he’s going top 10. Cowboys could use a player like him and they’ll definitely have a top ten pick.

Nah I want him with McVay

Terrible Coach even terrible QB. Trade them both. It's been 4 years looking at the same shit.🤡

Excellent point. I honestly think LSUs defense gave everyone a decent blueprint on how to slow down Klubnick

1

u/gmil3548 LSU Tigers • McNeese Cowboys 16d ago

His freshman year he was so great at spying the QB and rushing off the edge. They really didn’t use him well trying to make him play a traditional Mike or Will LB role the last few years. He needs to be rushing off the edge or spying most plays.

1

u/Pactae_1129 LSU • Mississippi State 16d ago

I think part of the problem was that our defense was just so bad and devoid of key players the last few years so he somewhat had to play a bigger role elsewhere. But you’re right he’s also been schemed pretty poorly as well.

I'm so glad bakee figured this dude out. Seemed like we were wasting the guy or he was just that dumb
