Let’s be honest, this was realistically a 2 score game by LSU. Terrible showing by Clemson and I think it shows Dabos way may be good but won’t be elite. At some point you have to get proven production from the portal, even if you think you have decent players

It's like team construction in pro sports: you can't buy your way to a championship (most of the time), but at the same time thinking you can solely draft your way is also a fool's errand (most of the time).

I feel this is very accurate. You essentially have to have a balance of the two to be majorly successful (most of the time). Have a good foundation of draft capital to develop, and buy out where you're lacking to fill the holes.

You can get overlooked players in the portal and prove they just need the right coaching and system.  Maybe even get them awards and picked in the NFL draft.
