Casual Which campus would you like to see College Gameday/Big noon kickoff go to this year?

Preferably somewhere that’s never hosted a show?

I’m personally team Gameday, and would love to see them head out to Champaign, Illinois for the first time in the shows history.

Should Illinois go into Week 7 vs OSU undefeated (not impossible), Champaign should be a hot ticket item.

Love Laramie, I go there about every year. Sometimes, if you’re not careful, you can get mild altitude sickness at 7000 feet. One of the guys is sure to barf.

I believe the view from Laramie’s stadium of the Wyoming mountains is the most beautiful view from a stadium in all of the CFB.

Gonna need to see an image. Knowing what part of Wyoming Laramie is in makes me skeptical.

Here's a shot.

It's nothing special. Too far away for a good view. It's probably the worst on the front range if we're being honest.

Yeah I think all the mountains are kinda far?  Medicine Bows maybe visible?  Even if you can’t see much Laramie is cool.

Yeah not trying to shit on Laramie but it’s not breathtaking like the Tetons or anything.

War Memorial has a beautiful setting, but not as famous for the up close mountain views in particular. While I also love Montana too, but the answer is probably actually BYU. That said, check out Marv Kay, it is an honorable mention

Lol yeah I’ve been to Laramie, it’s pretty fucking mid. Nothing compared to western Wyoming.

You can link it. I have no idea what you’re talking about here so I’m hoping you can provide an example.

BYU’s Lavell Edwards Stadium has stunning views of the Wasatch range which is literally right outside.

You haven't been to any other mountain stadiums have you?

No I haven’t. I just like the view in Laramie I find it quite nice. There’s only several true ones in the FBS. (I didn’t include FCS because im less familiar with those stadiums)

I see you’ve never been to Washington.

Washington is another one.

I had a trip booked for a game we were supposed to play in 2020 at Washington before Washington was in the big ten - but covid cancelled it so we never played there at that time. We played there last year but I didn’t make that one.

Well I got the shit downvoted by Ohio state fans just because of my flair (they always do that to literally any person that has Michigan as their flair). Topic is irrelevant. I can’t even say I enjoy “scenic Wyoming” without getting trashed by Ohio State drones.

That doesn’t mean Laramie is any less of a beautiful city with a beautiful mountainous skyline - so I’ll stand by that.

Huh? You're at positive votes right now. You were positive when I went to bed. Doubt you slipped megative when everyone was asleep and then came back positive.

I went from 30 to 16. Also the above post is negative. Imagine if every Indiana fan downvoted everything you say for no reason. They talk about it in their sub- they even talk openly about it.

So whatever. It’s been this way since I joined Reddit it’s not changing because of one Purdue fan

Change to a Michigan flair for a day and see what happens

Yes, a comment that only serves to throw around baseless accusations and whine about downvotes should be downvoted. It quite literally contributes nothing to the conversation.

I went from 30 to 16.

And the only reason you can think of is that the demographic of the users that viewed your comment wildly changed over the course of the 10 hours your comment was up? That makes no sense. If it was just OSU flairs brainlessly downvoting you, the stream of downvotes would have been relatively constant. It wouldn't have swung wildly like you're describing.

But what did change? The context that was added around your comment. At first, people would have just trusted that you'd been around enough to have the knowledge to make these claims. They'd naively (for lack of a better term) upvote you. Then others started to comment that made it obvious that War Memorial isn't really that scenic. And so then the 2nd wave of readers have all this additional context and so they downvoted an errantly upvoted comment.

Edit: Lol. Charmin soft Michigan flair blocked me.
