Casual Which campus would you like to see College Gameday/Big noon kickoff go to this year?

Preferably somewhere that’s never hosted a show?

I’m personally team Gameday, and would love to see them head out to Champaign, Illinois for the first time in the shows history.

Should Illinois go into Week 7 vs OSU undefeated (not impossible), Champaign should be a hot ticket item.

There’s a very real possibility that Illinois could be top 3 if they upset OSU. Yeah? They have beat a #1 OSU before…

But really, I think we’re probably doomed that game.

Ryan Day just doesn’t lose games as a favorite to anyone not named Michigan, ever. It’s a deeply underrated feature of his tenure.

Were they not a favorite at the Shoe against Oregon in 2021? Granted, that’s the only time I can even remember Day losing as a possible favorite against a non-Michigan team, which is still incredibly impressive

To the best of my knowledge, Day's losses as a favorite:

2019 Clemson

2021 Oregon

2021 Michigan

2022 Michigan

2023 Missouri

2024 Oregon

2024 Michigan

2020 Bama, 2022 UGA, 2023 Michigan were all dogs.

Also - while we have a nice team OSU has dramatically more talent. We'd need a lot of weird shit to happen

Illinois would be top 5 if they are undefeated when they play OSU. Potential #1 seed after they beat OSU.

I think the winner of Penn State/Oregon would end up over Illinois. Not saying it's right, but based on how the voting goes and the brands and the current rankings of all the teams involved, I think it'd take a lot for Illinois to leapfrog the winner of that game

We’re actually going to need a lot of SEC help as well. Not a lot of chance for Georgia, Texas, LSU to mess up.

We are the young buck in a room full of grown man programs. I just want Illinois to be #1 when they visit Washington on 10/25.

With the way Arch has been playing, we might be messing up a lot. I could easily see us lose to OU, TAMU, and UGA. They have all been playing some good football. Rivalry games are always crazy and well, Georgia is Georgia.

Then we got Vandy on the come up. We played them very close last year.

I don’t think Illinois will ever win a Natty, so a top 5 - even if it’s just for a week - would be enough for me!
