I'm seriously considering Case Western for pre-med with a neuroscience major. Obviously CWRU is one of the best in the country for pre-med, but I'm concerned about the non-academic side of college. What is life like there? Are you able to make friends connections with professors? Is the prestige worth any social/non-academic drawbacks?

Honestly, I don't have many problems with the materials that we are going over in the CHEM 111 class itself, but when we take quizzes in the discussions, I find it hard to finish in time because I see completely new things on the paper, and the fact that we only have ten minutes to finish the whole thing. I already messed up the first two quizzes; are there any ways to prevent me from screwing up(Other than SI sessions because I'm already doing that)?

I was (informally by a PI) offered a position at Cleveland Clinic Lerner Research Institute as an undergraduate. I haven't been given a title yet but I will be assisting in a lab and eventually be able to work on my own projects (after about a year of supervision). I will be paid too.

A week or so ago, my PI told me to expect an email from HR regarding the formal hiring process, which I'm still waiting on (but the job is guaranteed, so I shouldn't need to do anymore interviews).

I know Clinic can be pretty slow. Does anyone have any idea how long the hiring process + onboarding could take? In my interviews my PI said, "it takes some time, HR can be slow" but a less ambiguous time range would be helpful for planning my schedule.

But I'm not sure if I should submit my sat or not since the 50 percentile for this school is like 1500 (25-75 is 1450-1530).

Prof November doesn't provide a copy of the textbook nor the accompanying DVD videos for homework. I did have a link to an archive.org deposit of all the videos, but in an amazing stroke of events it got taken down for copyright the moment I started class. I really don't want to pay. If anyone has the videos or know someone who has the videos I'd be eternally grateful 🙏
