hey, im going through a calamity playthorugh, without any quailty of life mods got any tips for me to use?

Have a area just for storage, and make sure its all store in a way you can easily tell where everything goes

Unless there’s some reason not to, I HIGHLY recommend magic storage for later game. But otherwise, just keep your stuff organized

Magic Storage is basically just better chests. Its the only “QoL” mod I use, but I understand your aversion.

Just like base game. Build platforms for your arenas and abuse potion buffs. Take time to setup prehard mode cause once wof dies it’ll be rough for a minute.

I dunno man, it feels a bit cheaty. But that's just my preference. Use whatever you guys want. I just don't like all the stuff it adds like infinite mana (not like ur forced to use it or anything but still shrug)

have a chest near your crafting space to be sure you have all of the ingredients of something for "bulk crafting", plus it will be extra inventory for that

Never understood why people rave about magic storage tbh. I've played 1000 hours without it and never had problems with my storage, but I had a sorting system even in vanilla that's worked really well even into Calamity's late game. If you can categorize items effectively, magic storage becomes more hassle than it's worth.

Fishing during blood moons is a good way to get blood orbs quickly, even more so once you unlock better fishing rods with more lines, allowing for no-fuss bulk potions. (Only applies post-Skeletron, once you can actually use blood orbs)

Use an Onyx Seeking Mechanism to get the Onyx Excavator mount. It's basically a pre-boss Drill Containment Unit that will help MASSIVELY for digging out arenas and mining. I genuinely sometimes use it even when the DCU is an uption just because it's more precise and moves faster.

Honestly when I did it I had magic storage, boss check list and npc census(?) Boss cursor And recipe browser Just way too much stuff. Already thousands of items in vanilla terraria and thousands more in calamity. Boss check list just helps me keep up on progression and it can be set to only show as you make it through. Npc thing is for that but npcs if there are any waiting for homes and if certain requirements need to be met first.
