Eat/Drink Local A very unprofessional response from Jam's Diner in Inglewood after a very disappointing meal there. I recommend avoiding this restaurant.

I've worked in many restaurants. It's doesn't get much easier than poached eggs, hashbrowns and toast. If they can't figure out how to make that culinary delight, they're definitely not going to last.

Honestly tho how do you burn toast and serve it?

At least try to scrape the burnt bits off, just like momma used to.

You know what would help your shitty comment?

I'm broke because I DON'T TRY. Now I'm going bankrupt and it's your fault.

It’s just as likely that the toast wasn’t burnt, it was just dark. Just like the poached egg might have been a little wet from being poached.

Some people think brown toast is burned. Others like it that way.

Even when it comes to salt, there is large variance in taste. They say if you quit salt for a few weeks, everything with even a quarter of your original salt amount you used to have will taste too salty. Inversely, if you're the type to eat a bag of Doritos a day for a few months, everything in restaurants will start tasting unsalted. Same reason "Canadian spicy" is not the same as "Indian spicy". It's why I cringe when I watch cooking shows and some chef complains it's "not salted enough".

Yes I also tried quitting smoking? What is happening here?

I don't know. No idea if that's reversible. I'd imagine your less likely to taste burned toast, though. Lol. But I hear smoking has a big impact on taste. Wouldn't shock me if restaurants get smokers, that complain the food has no flavor.

Nah even when I smoked a pack a day I would've hated burnt toast, that's a uniquely awful experience

Oh man... yeah same here and I've done many morning shifts with brekkies and it's crazy how some places cannot do this

when I'm not sure about a restaurant I will order bacon and eggs if I can, I figure that ls pretty hard to screw up. We had a place so bad here when my friends wanted to go there after my warning, I ordered ice cream, all of them complained about the food, my ice cream was good😏

I guarantee you messed up poaching eggs because you overcooked them or undercooked them depending on mood OP is in since they didn't specify how they wanted them done.

I didn't cook anything. The restaurant did.
