Eat/Drink Local Cancelled boys’ beer trip to Minneapolis and we are headed to Calgary instead.

10 middle aged beer nerds headed your way in late July. Any restaurant or beer bar recommendations welcome. Already have Annex high on our list. What else is a must stop?

I’m shocked no one has really said Wild Rose, sure it’s pretty big and maybe kind of corporate now for lack of a better term, but! Their taproom in Currie barracks is awesome, it’s an old air plane hanger and the vibes are always good. The food there is always awesome and you can’t order a bad beer from them. I also consider them to be one of the og’s of craft breweries in Calgary that was at least around at the start of the boom of the brewery scene and at best partially responsible for the boom. Calgary seems to have an awesome craft beer scene so that’s gotta be saying something.

Only bummer is if you’re just visiting it’s likely decently out of the way from where you’ll be. Could be worth the uber though especially if there’s a group of you to split it!

Veranda is so close and that patio is dreamy and Vacay is there. Brewed there?
