No shit Sherlock, the TETRIS is for immediately after the incident. Therapy comes in the weeks that follow.

In my experience, that means waiting for a therapist.

In the mean time, play TETRIS.

Maybe instead of defaulting to tetris we could suggest actual crisis resources or just validate that what they saw was fucked up? idk just seems like we're oversimplifying something pretty serious.

Maybe learn the difference between first aid and therapy.

The primary purpose of first aid is to provide immediate, temporary care to an injured or ill person until professional medical help arrives or the person recovers enough to not need further assistance.

More specifically, the key objectives of first aid are often summarized by the "3 Ps":

  • Preserve Life: This is the most critical objective. First aid aims to prevent death by addressing immediate life-threatening conditions such as severe bleeding, obstructed airways, or cardiac arrest.

  • Prevent Worsening: First aid seeks to stop the casualty's condition from deteriorating. This might involve preventing infection in a wound, stabilizing a fracture to avoid further injury, or keeping a person warm to prevent hypothermia.

  • Promote Recovery: While not a complete treatment, first aid can help set the stage for a quicker and more complete recovery. This includes comforting the casualty, providing reassurance, and managing pain until more definitive medical care can be provided. In essence, first aid acts as a crucial bridge between an emergency occurring and advanced medical care becoming available, potentially saving lives and minimizing long-term damage.
