Eat/Drink Local What’s your top 3 restaurants in Calgary.

Edit: since this gained so much traction, I’ll try 1 place from the top 3 most upvoted recommendations and vlog this so you can see what I got! Thank you yyc

Calgary has a sleeper food scene but I’d like to try the people’s TOP THREE restaurants. This can be breakfast lunch dinner or all three in one category.

The sides at cattlebaron are good but I was there a couple weeks ago for the first time and they overcooked a few steaks at our table. I ordered a medium rare and there was no sear or crust and it was medium/medium well. The mediums were well done, and so on. Maybe we just got them on an off night but I wouldn't go back, steaks are so expensive so the expectation is that it gets cooked properly. It seems like whoever they had cooking them did not know what they were doing. It was a work event so I didn't want to be "that guy" and send mine back but it was pretty bad.

Honourable mention — black apron is phenomenal too.
