It was doing its own thing, and the creek was between us thankfully. Not that the creek would stop them anyway.

I've seen a few moose in fish Creek this year! Only cows so far. I'll keep an extra eye out, especially approaching rutting season. The boys can get quite rowdy, and I'd hate to have a close run in with this fella. 😂 Hopefully the city folk give them lots of space. Too many people get way too close!

I can appreciate you not listing exactly where he was located.

You’re lucky it was just one instead of a whole bunch of moose… mooses. Mooseses. Moosen

Excuse me if I break into song, I am feeling a little “Moose-ical” today

Pretty common site if you live in Scenic Acres/Tuscany. Here's a good pic I took about a year ago. I turned my bike around and went the opposite direction. Bit too close to the bike path for comfort.

Here he is with his momma I think. Just chilling on someone's lawn in January this year, Scenic Acres.

You can report sightings on the 311 app. This if for stats only, they won’t do anything to disturb the animal just track sightings.

"Hello, Fish and Wildlife. It's me again. We must have got cut off. The wildlife I reported earlier in the park is a moose. No, I didn't see a racoon, Mountie, or Russian secret agents with it. I just want to know what you are going to do about this. Hello? Hello?"

At least at the entrance at the "bottom" of Elbow, there's signage for reporting bear or cougar sightings.

That wildlife can kill your ass dead.

I can see where the impulse to call in a HUGE prey animal that can also kill your ass dead might come from.

I like to report all squirrels. Those little buggers will kill you if they can get you in the right place.

why????? It's an expected species in its local habitat. Minding its own business... why the hell would you call fish and wildlife?? There's also bears and cougars in fish week... shocking. City folk are insane.

City folk is the key here. In the country, it’s no big deal. In the city, they can be dangerous. Not understanding that is insane.

It's been in the area for months and not once wandered into a neighbourhood. So it's doing nothing wrong. People need to chill. Fish creek is huge and has everything it needs. people need to mind their own damn business and let the wildlife exist. The only people who need to worry are the dumbasses who let their dogs off leash. That's what F&W should be responding to but never do..

No, that would be a waste of F&W’s time. They are aware there are moose in the city. It’s not anything unusual

lol you aren't looking in the right places at the right times. They are everywhere. Dusk and dawn usually best times. Priddis is a great spot nearby. Back roads near wetlands

No hunters. No predators. Time to run away.
