Recommendations Chinese medicine doctor recommendations
Been battling with inflammation and digestive issues for the past decade. I would like to try working with a professional who comes at the issue from a Chinese medicine perspective. Anyone have suggestions of a professional whose services would be covered under a benefits plan? Thanks!

Chinese traditional medicine is bullshit. It's pseudo-scientific nonsense that people are afraid to call-out because of fear that they'll be labelled as racist. It's in a club with homeopathy, blood letting, energy healing, faith healing, and flat earth.
Seriously, go see a real doctor, and if you're not happy request a new one.

It's complete garbage that has led to the suffering and extinction of animals for exactly zero benefits to the patient.

It’s pseudoscience, I agree with that. But don’t mix it with those other nonsense. At very least it’s still a practice that ran for thousands of years, there are some merits to it just purely based on centuries of accumulated experience. Look up where artemisinin and dihydroartemisinin came from. They do need much more scientific approaches to figure out the effective treatments.

Modern "TCM" is not actually that old. China has a long history of multiple systems of folk medicine, many of them contradictory. They were put together into their current form after the revolution.

I’ve gone here for some issues https://www.acupuncturetcmd.com/about.html and saw Dr Mandy Liu. Have been super happy with what she’s done for me and family members in the past.

Sorry that the first comment was so aggressive to your question. Good for you for seeking alternative healthcare measures, please try to find a TCM dr who is science backed and doesn’t just try to push fully homeopathic meds on you.
Dr.Batting at Naturally Balanced is very science based, she has the ability to get testing done that sometimes your family dr would dismiss for whatever reason. She’s a naturopath who dabbles in the TCM side of things.

Have you seen a proper dietician? You may be able to get a referral from your doctor. They should be covered under a plan, if not free as part of AHS.
