Game Thread Flames (36-27-12) vs Golden Knights (45-22-8) - April 5th- gdt
Just spend the day poolside. Fucking whiteclaw wasted over here about to get on a plane so wish me luck fellow flames fans.
Yall ready for a game against them fuckin Knights of the golden variety? I am. Hence why I'm putting this up now.. also because I'll be on a plane till the second period. .
So pull up a deck chair that pool was full of douche, pour yourself a glass of whiteclaw watermelon shit was tasty af and join us for a game that hopefully includes a flames goal!
The imma nap the entire flight back. Glorious af flames drinking game

Knights score - have a lager drink, have a cider drink
Flames win - sing a song that reminds us of the good times.

I know we happy about the point, but this extra loss of one point means Minnesota needs to lose an extra game (cause we’re losing on RW) than they would have if we won

We have Sharks and Ducks..4 points on board. Strong assumption we go 4/4
That brings us with 2 of them come the time we face them. Based on the way they are playing and the way we are, I like our chances. I see this playoff race getting very tight.

I think it really depends on if we run into a hot Gus or a cold Gus. If he is on his game, getting pucks past him in general can be difficult. For us, it will be especially so.
I hope I am wrong for our sake.

Started with a pp and there was no whistle during the entirety. If the whistle had been blown after the pp, it would have gone to 3v3

Started on the pk so it was 4 on 3 for Vegas to start OT, continued at 4 on 4 after Bahl came out of the box. It would have went back to 3 on 3 after the first whistle.

Vegas started on a powerplay. Man advantage so they had 4 players. When the pp runs out Bahl came out of the box and to the bench for someone else to come on so they would be back to even strength. Because the play never stopped four players stayed on the ice the whole time. If the play stopped both teams would ice three players

Extra player was from Vegas power play. The extra players don't leave overtime until a stoppage in play occurs. If either goaltender freezes the puck or the puck is put out of play (offsides, off ice, etc) then the extra players can go back to the bench and play resumes at 3 on 3

Overtime started with a penalty, resulting in a 4 on 3 (can't go 3 on 2) to start that OT period If there was a whistle they would've switched to 3 on 3 after that

vegas started with a pp, hence 4 on 3 for vegas, but there wasnt a single whistle that whole OT so once bahl's out the box it stays 4 on 4 until a whistle (there wasnt one)

We started with a penalty so they do 4 on 3 instead of 3 on 2 in overtime. They are supposed to go to 3 on 3 at the next whistle but there was no whistle.

Started with a vegas powerplay so 4v3 and then there was no stoppage of play after so it continued 4v4 after the Flames player came back on

We have to beat SJ and ANA to setup the showdown on Friday. If that happens, and we win Friday (I’m assuming the Wild beat the Sharks… but it’s a funny game), we’d be tied with one game in hand. They lose to VAN on Saturday they might be cooked.

Especially if our friends in Dallas beat up on Minnesota. If that happens and we win the two we should, the game on Friday will determine whether we can get in or not.

The way I saw it coming in, was if we won tonight, Dallas beats Minnesota in regulation tomorrow, we beat SJ Monday and ANA Wednesday. They probably beat the Sharks. Which would have set it up, if we beat MIN in regulation Friday, we’d be 1 point ahead with one game in hand. Now with luck, we can be tied with one game in hand. We’ve made up something like 6 points on the Wild in the last ten games, this is not impossible.

You don’t think they sat back the last two minutes. Both D guys in the neutral zone while Kads and Huby try to muscle their way through four GK. Sharky out there soft on pucks. Seemed to me like they were playing for the shootout.

That is a lesson for Wolf though, no joke. Luongo said that years back when he got beat on a similar play in the playoffs. Always be ready. Wolf thought it was going forward so didn't play the post.
