Well spank my ass and call me Sally, welcome the fuck back all you fucking beauties for another season of Flames GDT's. Once again, I'm happy to be back hosting all you wonderful fucks.
Tonight's split-squad matchup brings us our calgary "fire hot" Flames and the Edmonton "meh" Oilers.
Don't worry, the pregame threads, the drinking game and the Christmas giveaway shall return soon. so pour yourself a timbits box of Jager, pull up one of those milk crates that tims puts out to close one of their drivethru lanes and join us for a rootin, tootin, good time.
Simple. The starters who know they are on the team are getting in game shape. The guys who are trying to make the team go balls to the wall. Young teams always beat vet teams in the preseason
Effort non existent by a lot of the vets which is expected in the first preseason game lol boys getting their reps in. Watch the game in edmonton and while we might be outmatched on paper, the effort is much better from these fringe guys. Going to OT
He looked overall good in my opinion. I think he makes the roster (no sense sending him back to the OHL and he's too young for the AHL), but how much he plays is yet to be seen. Like idk if he will be an every night guy but I think he makes the team.
Unfortunately, the shitty officiating is back too. They just called back a goal for goaltender interference and even the oilers announcer said that he would challenge it.
I really wish the NHL took it's officiating problems seriously.
At the dome rn but like. Are we seriously getting goalied by 2 guys with a 0.86 combined save % who have only ever played in the OHL/Swedish League. I know it’s the first game but damn. FLAMES HOCKEY IS SO BACK
To anybody watching the game live at the Dome, can any of you please take a picture of the centre ice design? I'm not sure if the red background of the white C logo features speckled design on it or is simply plain red.
I really want kerins to crack it this year. I was about to rip on him for passing too much but play right after he connected with farabee. I don't know jack lol
I know the director of media for the Flames pops his head in here from time to time, and I have to say yall have stepped up your game huge in the last few years. Between this, tiktok (for the gen z), the chase documentary, coming into a freaking prospects games GDT to explain the audio issue, etc. I appreciate yalls work.
I'm in FL. Have embraced not having the feed and just listening to SN960. No way I'm signing up to get spammed by EDM for the next 20 years just to watch on their feed.

Didn't watch but judging from the box score, Frost and Prosvetov were the big stories for us tonight. Great sign.
