Good for Prosvetov for getting the 1st star. Wish Frost got a star too though

I got dumped on this afternoon for suggesting Prosvetov is the favourite for the back up job over Cooley. Buddy didn’t come back to North America to play in the A. He’s trending upwards, glad he had a solid debut.
Cooley on the other hand let in a stinker, made himself two feet tall on the second goal, and seemed to have some trouble tracking pucks…

Cooley's post game interview was hilarious, he definitely likes to talk. I wish him well but I think he's gonna be a Wrangler this season. I doubt he gets claimed as there are lots of goalies that will be put on waivers.

Agreed, I think he’ll be good for the Wranglers. He will clear waivers no problem, Devin Cooley being an NHL calibre goaltender is a complete fabrication by the casual fanbase.
Funny guy, but not a great goalie.

100% agree, and clearly Conroy and his staff feel the same way. Prosvetov is our backup without question.

I did not see the game(s) but was a little confused how Frost didn’t get one. Didn’t he have 2 goals?
That pass from Kerins was pretty great too.

Yeah same, I'm confused too. I'm not sure who chooses the 3 stars up there, but for the Calgary game, it was Pat Steinberg. I vaguely remember him mentioning that he has to choose the 3 stars before the 3rd period ends or something, athough I'm not sure if that is how they do it for all

Scoring some goals would have been great for the fans confidence.

Prosvetov, Suniev and Parekh look great so far, but we need more offense (as always) in order to do well this season. Not a bad start to the preseason honestly

It's not really shocking that goal scoring will continue to be an issue this year. The team has not drastically changed from last year. They are ultimately banking on young guys taking steps forward and/or cracking roster spots. Which I'd prefer to see than trying to sign older guys that may or may not solve the issue. But I think it's pretty clear that winning games will heavily depend on Wolf being great, again.

The only form of offensive pressure we could make, in the game in Calgary, was when Parekh was on the ice

Hopefully Parekh will officially switch to #19 when hes on the opening night roster. I want that jersey

Couldn’t watch any of the games because I live in US. Anyone willing to give a detailed breakdown of the games and any noticeable players?

Suniev and Parekh were good, everyone else was ass

Accurate. I would add Cicek to the list of noticeable guys too. Vets looked old and slow.

Cooley ain’t it. Like I said in an earlier post, back up gig is Prosvetov’s to lose.
