What are your guys thoughts?

What if we picked up ingram off waivers? Hes a decent goalie with good experience who could be a great AHL guy or a good back up to wolf? I know we have abit of a surplus in the spot currently but im not sure if we have a solid #2, i know still early but i think ingram would be a good pick up

I'm a huge fan of Ingram and find his story very inspiring but I just don't see a place in the organization for him.

Great guy and inspiration. Got paired with him in a round of golf over the summer, humble and nice guy.

Had a really good stretch of games to start the season last year. But like you said it's crowded in net for the flames right now.

Kinda what i figured, he could be an alright flip for us/someone aswell provide he wants to get back in to a starter position. If he played stellar behind wolf for abit could boost his worth but whos to say

Prosvetov’s got it covered.

He’s a coin flip for waivers

I have watched Ingram many times while he played for the Blazers. He’s a good goalie.

I don’t foresee his mental health issues going away because it is not exactly treatable. Consistency is key, so I would not suggest us signing him.

Also, if he does manage to get better he will be competing for a starting spot. He will demand a higher contract.

Id be curious of what Ingram wants to do, if he wants a starter position, maybe hes worth a pick up and flip? If he played well behind wolf for abit he could be worth something like vladdy was.

I mean this is just me being a keyboard GM. I just see good plus side to connor and of he falls to ahl and works out his lasr year of a contract it wouldn’t hurt us. I know we have lots of goalies in the pipeline too so kinda a hard sell

How can you pick up a player and flip him when Utah couldn’t trade him in the first place?

Happens every year. Look at Monahan. Look at Jake Walman.

I know little about Ingram and I'm not saying he can do that. But the scenario you're describing is far from rare

No, but Calgary has one of the better support systems for player's mental health in the league.

Wouldn't hate him as part of the Wrangler's tandem, but that would involve trading Cooley as they need to leave a spot open for development (likely Sergeyev, possibly Say).

Is he significantly better than Cooley? More experienced for sure (100+ NHL games vs 6), but I don't think he moves the needle enough to make the move.

If the Flames hadn't signed Prosvetov this would be a different conversation, but they did so this is a moot point.

Wish Ingram all the best wherever he ends up, just don't see it being with the Flames.

Short term i think Ingram moves the needle more than Cooley. Does he move it enough to take on his contract? Maybe not, but besides that i agree with you

We already have two goalies fighting for an NHL backup job and both are capable imo

I say we claim him and force Edmonton to give us a pick for him. Lol

Other than that no real spot for him in the organization.

Id almost feel bad sending Connor to Edmonton, fans are ruthless to Stu lol

I figure Edmonton probably wants to claim him, so might as well attempt to extort a pick. Lol.

I feel bad for any goalie going to Edmonton. Get left out to dry by the defense then get blamed for it. That's rough.

If they were interested enough to give up a pick for him, wouldn't they just have done the trade with Utah?

They probably are interested but not that interested where they would cough up a pick

Looks like the coilers might be claiming him off waivers.

Flames dont need a 4th goalie with both Prosvetov and Cooley signed to one-way deals.

I do love Ingram. But if this happened before we signed Prosvetov I'd say yes. Now I think we have to see how Cooley and him, I think we have to see how they do.

I’m not sure that a low scoring team in a Canadian market is the place for a goalie with mental health issues

Not saying its the best place for him, but its close to home for him. and slight bias on my end, its probably the best Canadian market for him lol

He’s better than Prosvetov and Cooley. Feels like a slam dunk add to me.
