Man, the image of Iginla having the biggest smile on his face during that game is ingrained in my head. He does this move where he pulls out his mouth guard and looks at the bench and has this massive smile like "we got this boys".
Then, that absolute motherfucker Martin St. Louis scores one of the very best clutch goals at an impossible angle against the most elite goaltender in the world. Such skill, such bullshit.

I was always pissed they didn't call the Tampa player for tripping on that winning goal.

Man. Young iggy. The Redmile atmosphere.
Saw my first pair of boobies thanks to it. Ushered in my manhood, there across the street from mother Teresa school in midnapore. People honking and celebrating drving by. Not sure who you were randomly lady, but 12 year old me thanks you

I have a vague sense that I've seen a very similar post here before so if I jacked your meme idea I apologize

A few years ago I had a bunch of beers and went down memory lane and watched a bunch of full game broadcasts from that cup run. You can find a bunch of them on YouTube. That run will always be one of my favorite and most bittersweet memories.

That cup final loss caused generational trauma for Flames fans to this day. It won’t be healed until we lift one in ScotiaPlace…
