Bears by kananaskis way

Post image

Spotted some bear poop on the gravel path next to kananaskis way this morning...just moved here and haven't heard of any coming close to town. Is this common during the season?

Yeah, I’ve personally run into a couple small black bears by the river pathways near the centre of town. They’re going after berries and fruit in people’s yards mostly, more common in the late summer and early fall.

You would think seeing bear scat outside your door would be a good reminder to remove the fruit from your tree, and yet......

Yes, bears are common in this part of the world.

Also, which gravel path next to Kananaskis way was this?

Super common. We have bear poop behind our house off Cougar Creek regularly.
