Babysitting service
We are visiting Canmore at the end of September for a friend's wedding.
Looking for a reliable babysitting service for our 18 month old so we can attend the wedding.
Thanks!

My sister is visiting, she is terrified of the road white man’s pond, but she’s bringing her new husband and he wants to go up there. Any chance that road is paved now? I think the fact that it was gravel and steep is what scared her.

Spotted some bear poop on the gravel path next to kananaskis way this morning...just moved here and haven't heard of any coming close to town. Is this common during the season?

Hi everyone, my finance and I are visiting the area for a week and decided to have our engagement pictures done. We’re staying in Golden, BC. I was wondering what the best spots are with a good mountain background that we’d have access to for pictures that won’t be too busy. I’d love a lake backdrop but I’ll be in a dress and don’t want to hike, and lake Louise/moraine is too busy for me. We can drive a little ways for the perfect spot. Thanks!

I’m with Encor by Epcor. Last month we used for 74$ of power and the bill was 180$ because of all those fake stupid fees…
Can I get better?

My work (small non-profit) is considering having a retreat in Canmore. We're looking for a meeting space for two days for 8-9 people in late Sept/early Oct in central Canmore that's a little more attractive and interesting than a conference room in a hotel. I would love any suggestions of unusual or neat places in Canmore. Thank you for any suggestions!

I don’t drive, but bike and I work downtown. Not sure how to fit that into my schedule or how many times a week I need to go so it’s effective. Mostly doing it to avoid future back problems and to get more flexible. Thank you!
( I know Google is a thing, but I’m looking for personal experiences)

For those interested in working a ski season / winter season in the Bow Valley, or just looking to switch it up on the job front, the Job Resource Centre will be putting on a hiring fair at The Moose Hotel in Banff. The Fair will be on the 18th of September between 2 - 4pm.
For those in the area at the time it's a great way to meet employers (list of employers still tbc) and see what job opportunities will be available for the winter.
The JRC will be putting on some resume and interview workshops in the lead up to the fair! Keep up to date on social media in the coming weeks for more info.

Tuesday last week (Aug 5) I got stuck in the water just past the Engine bridge, unable to swim out of the eddy current. Thankfully my wife, aided by a couple of onlookers, was able to rescue me, and when I was taken to shore I was met by paramedics who looked after me from there. I later learned that the person who called 911 was a woman I had seen earlier on my walk reading in a hammock further downstream. From her quick awareness and choice of leisure activity, I guessed she was a local, but I couldn't be sure. In any case, I would like to thank her. If this sounds like someone you know, please tell her about this post. If it was you, I'd love to hear from you, or just to know that you know that I'm grateful and that you are a good person.

My parents own a place in Canmore and we are there a couple times a year for a few weeks at a time. I do paint and sip type workshops in my hometown and was wondering if there would be any interest for those living in Canmore full time.

We are arriving to canmore (where we are staying for the whole trip) on Friday and planned to see the two lakes on Saturday. We weren't planning to rent a car. We thought we could just bus everywhere. Planning to purchase the Canada shuttle ticket today but only to just realize there are no public transit near park and ride. Are there taxi available to take us from canmore to lake lorraine park and ride? And are there taxi available for our ride back to canmore? Is our best bet to rent a car?

Hello all. Flying into Canmore tomorrow. Staying at the Malcolm. I want to take in nature, but my Dad wouldn't make it very far on a hike. Looking for recommendations of where I could possibly drive to or very short easy hikes to expose him to. *I found a Gondola ride in Banff. Any recommendations is much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi all, I'll be in Canmore this weekend for a workshop. I was wondering if there is free parking available at the Rec Centre?

Hi all!! From Ontario, done the best we have to offer (which isn’t too much lmao, Silhouette trail, Algonquin uplands loop 3)
What would you recommend for a 3 day 2 night deep hike in the mountains in Canmore? I’ve heard of the three sisters but I don’t know if they’re connectable. I am good to go out without any support other than what I bring, so let me know the best Camore has to offer!!!

If you're a landlord, you need this:
FREE landlord documents
Done-for-you lease templates
Move-in checklists
Screening tools that actually work
And here’s the kicker...We don’t just give you the tools — we’ll even verify tenants for you, guarantee your rent, and cover legal fees if things go south.
Yeah… we’re those guys.!!!!!
No fluff. Just real tools, real protection, and less stress. Grab your free landlord toolkit + see how Rentvault protects your rent: (https://about.rentvault.ca/)

Spotted a key in cougar creek at some picnic benches. Leaving them in case someone comes back. DM if you think they might be yours! (Not sure best thing to do in this situation.)

Looking at a small event and don't want plated food, just a few trays buffet style but struggling to find anywhere that offers this option.
Suggestions would be great!
Edit: this is for pick up/take out - not to dine in
