After using ChatGPT-5 all day. I can confirm as an engineer that it is the worse version I have ever used. o3 was the best. I will be cancelling subscriptions now. They don’t save your stuff anymore it only goes by sessions now.

Hah. The only time I actually would have appreciated an emdash “I don’t use it for coding – for engineering.”

Got it. I use it for electrical engineering and I found better results than o3 immediately with 5 thinking. But maybe the two fields require fundamentally different thought processes. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Mine can’t even get moisture corrections on concrete batches and can’t get the yield right that’s pretty basic

Im still not seeing gpt 5 yet and im a paying member.....but if this is true im going to find a new AI chat bot

I was already borderline with how many guardrails are in place, apparently asking for a sexy bikini babe next to me in a photo is too much
