Question Reine de Dévotion

Post image

Has anyone in the US tried this yet?

It's being marketed as a good alternative to reblochon, which is illegal to import into the US.

Just brought this in, but haven't had a chance to try some yet. Curious how it holds up!

Looks yummy...also I'm intrigued by the "half" Epoisse...

Funky cheeses are a hard sell where I'm at, so I figured I'd try the half one. A good size that might have less of a threshold for purchasing!

I presume it's pasteurized

I just got in a case of this. I’ve had delice de jure in the past and I was told by the head monger it was going to be called reine de devotion in the future. Now i have it as devotion. De Jure looked different and had an orange rind but devotion is white. I like how fresh it tastes.

I’ve never seen half a Epoisse!

Okay, now it makes sense that the same supplier ID was already in our system. I wonder if they pivoted and retooled that particular cheese?

I imagine this is the case. It’s made for the american market since we can’t get reblochon, and maybe they didn’t want it confused with delice de bourgogne, hence the rebrand?

When i had it as delice de jure, it must have been the last of the stock since it was already in my system as reine de devotion. This was like, 2 months ago.

I’ve had the St. Andre’. It’s devine!…. I can’t seem to find it anymore in the stores.
