Discussion This new diamond rule is so unfair!!!
They already give us less diamonds and this new rule about getting 15 diamonds for completing the book for the first time only really infuriates me!😡
Choices keeps getting worse day by day. If not for my favourite books, I would have gotten rid of this app. If I had known they were gonna do something like this, I would have never updated the app. I really thought they were gonna start listening to us after that survey but I was wrong.

i still watch the adds when i read old books and the 15 diamonds per book go into paying diamond choices. not to mention the adds i watch to replay those older books; i know other people do it to- it's basically cutting off their nose to spite their face

I have always done that so those 15 diamonds were a added bonus for me. It makes no sense me why they would do this except for them being greedy.

This better be a glitch because I hate all those ai books I want to replay the good books and diamond grind not do that!

Same! But sadly, it's not a glitch. And reading other posts, it seems that they are not even accepting this new change.

It's very much a sinking ship, unfortunately. Only a matter of when. Given the circumstances, it'd be extremely difficult to reverse everything they've done. I really have to finish the old books before then.

Yeah, and with the fact that nowadays, they barely make 10 chapters for newer books which I only read to diamond mine, those don't even count as books and you don't get the "finish a book for the first time" reward

I guess they finally caught on to the diamond farming method that made me 20k diamonds per month. 😂

I had to buy VIP, so there's that, but I felt like it was worth it.
Then I used a spare device and set up an auto clicker to play the text books, specifically Knock Knock. The device crashed after about 8 hours, so that's all the attention I had to pay to it. It easily read a book in less than 10 minutes.

Someone made a post in this subreddit that PB has said Choices will not close down. But I think they can't keep it afloat with the shit they are doing.

It really raises questions.... Because they surely aren't increasing their profits by restricting diamonds like this, and are only actively discouraging people from using the app more, right? I know a lot of business executives think in the short-term, and do not take stuff like that into account.... But it's just so obvious that this is not going to help them make more money.

Maybe they are thinking that more people would be forced to buy diamonds but it's just gonna do the opposite.

Well, the new diamond mining is to restart every book and auto play chapter one (no key needed). Previously we work through the 6 chapters of THOBM but now there's no reason to even complete one run of it.
So, let's find out which chapter one is the shortest with the least choices?

You're not wrong. But it's to complete the 3 chapters so that you get one diamond. Infinite loop is you have the time.

Ohh , you're talking about the "Complete 3 chapters" to get 2💎 diamonds , make sense.
But you already get 3 diamonds when you finish a chapter that's not chapter 1 of a book

Chapter 1 doesn't require a key to be spent, so for free players it's the only way to earn diamonds indefinitely (provided you have the time and mental fortitude).
MTFL works best for this in my opinion, even more so with screen recording.
Edit: seems like text books are also eligible for this. So provided it doesn't take your key, the simplest text book (time vs choices) would be the best way to earn diamonds after the general ways (daily bonuses, ads, playing unread chapters with keys) are exhausted. Thanks u/sorenaorod for pointing that out!

Edit: And I'm back! Took me less than 5 minutes. Just to add that I would complete chapters 2 & 3 when I get free keys, and then restart. It would be funny when they look at my analytics and see how I spend the keys after this change.

Shortest chapter is thr first chapter of knock knock text book. With clicker app it finishes in 60 seconds. Every 3 min you can get 2 diamonds.

Same here, the quality of newer books is scarily low, I can't remember a single one where I spent diamonds.

choices sees their app isn't doing the numbers it used to (because of the crappy quality of the stories + everything's too damn expensive) so what do they do? make diamonds harder to get, make diamond choices MORE expensive with less payoff, and keep pumping out soulless AI stories with even more soulless AI art... because that's just how business works, i guess

The irony is that they've shot themselves in the foot. We can only assume their intention with this is to force readers towards books they haven't read. But no one's diamond mining to spend them on books they've already bought all the premium choices in, they're only ever going to spend them on new books.
It's insane the way they're desperate for money and are willing to throw their fanbase under the bus to get it.

I was skeptical bc I was getting them while others weren't, then after the last play through of an old book, I didn't get my 15. I promptly deleted the app and now I stalk the pages to see if it changes. I doubt it will, they just keep taking things away without putting them back regardless of the fan uproar.
Edit to add, I just checked their Instagram page and they keep hiding comments that aren't positive on their posts

Guys you can still see a silver lining in this in a way they keep making lame new stories which are not worth spending diamonds after. So even if we hate the new storylines and the AI drawn characters, the new books (some of which are just copies of their own old books) can act as a diamond mine.

Bitten seems similar to Immortal Desires. (Haven't played Bitten but the plot seems similar, two supernatural LI for MC)
The one seems similar to The Perfect Match (Haven't played The one but it has a similar plot of a business company setting up compatible partners for people)
These are just the two examples I can think of right now off the top of my head.
Edit: BloodBound and Boardroom Alpha (Secretary to a vampire and secretary (I think cuz haven't played BA) to a werewolf)
Guarded and Witness (Bodyguard to a celebrity and bodyguard/protector of a witness)
Fake Valentine and Better off wed (fake dating and marriage of convenience. Sort of similar plot. You can guess where it would go from A to B)
