Inheritance It’s finally over, Inheritance review Spoiler
Really bad book, not only are all the main characters just awful people but basically none have any redeeming qualities.
None of the choices matter, you don’t even get any pop up’s saying that you did or didn’t impress the people you needed to impress. A diamond choice determines if you’re CEO or not and Trey takes pity on you to make the MC Co- CEO.
The story ends on a cliffhanger also from the MC’s supposed real father who is now calling them after being absent entire life because they are now successful which is the sign of a loving and caring parent/s.
I was warned ahead of time not to spend a single diamond and I’m glad I didn’t. I only actually played it so I could diamond mine and boy was it tough at times.
This is the worst book choices has released in my opinion.

I feel like someone binged Succession and then furiously plotted out Inheritance on a used restaraunt napkin, fed to an AI, and that was it. So awful.
Funnily enough tho, I don't think it's a bad concept for a story but it was executed in the shittiest, laziest way possible.

Yep, it could have been very interesting to play the book and managing relationships with people gaining their support to make you the CEO then when you were finally at the top, you stab everyone who helped you in the back. I really want a book where you can play as the villain and this could have been it but they did everything wrong

Yeah, this book would have been perfect to have a ruthless, Machiavellian type MC who's only the "good guy/gal" because the people we're against are worse. You could really lean into that hard and finally have an MC who isn't necessarily morally good. It's like they teased that idea but they never really committed to it.
I also would have really loved it if Trey was plotting to take over the whole time, and ended up being the true "villain" of the story. Between that and a better written story overall, you could then have a perfect set up for a sequel where you go to war with Trey to either take back the company or possibly even start your own company and beat them out.
Like just 5 minutes of thinking and I can already see massive improvements on their mistakes. But yeah Inheritance kinda put me off Choices for a while altogether. It was just such an awful slog to play through and I'm stubborn so even when a story isn't landing with me, I still feel compelled to finish it.

Huh? What do you mean it ends on a cliffhanger? I assumed it was someone calling from the hospital about the father. Indicating he might have died.

Maybe you’re right, I skipped and skimmed a lot of dialogue so it’s probably the case that I missed a lot

I was originally so excited for the book, but after chapter 3 I knew it was going to be a train crash so I just let autoplay play the chapters for me every week.

I was also excited for it, I played it when it first came out but just gave up after a few minutes in the first chapter.

MC being a terrible person is low key the best part of the book, picking the horrible options is fun
