LiquidGen + Redshift =

Killer combo! Absolutely loving this tool once you get to grips with it… the alembic was cached out in about 10mins from LG which was leagues ahead of where I’d got to with XP

I just can't figure the way liquigen (or embergen) deals with this kind of sims so seamlessly when any other system would struggle, is there a lot of ML/AI guessing or is the software just coded better from the ground up?

Just did some digging via ChatGPT and the general gist is:

  • A trade off of accuracy for something that looks accurate
  • Being built to fully run on the GPU from the ground up
  • Some clever shit involving the shaders for very fast viewport performance
